Is family important?

I don't really have a family, my parents divorced when I was little and then divorced again so I lost the step family, step mom and siblings I grew up with since I was 8 years old. Now I only text my dad a few times a year.

The important thing is to try thinking whether you need it emotionally. Family is what makes home warm or on fire.

Well my mom passed away. My dad live in Maine was never raised with him. My stepdad passed away from cancer and his other kids bio don't consider me his. I have a couple siblings though and many aunts.

It is, and very much so- but "family" doesn't just, and doesn't always, mean the people you're related to.
