How important is family to you?

I was born a love child, different from my parents. came from humble families, old houses and small towns with sad stories. I'm Blessed for my family, my friends, my career, my life. Thankful for me and my family living to see another day.

My family has gotten sick so many times. My parents have been on the verge of passing away many times and my sisters live so far from me.

My dad is a narcissistic, racist alcoholic who's obsessed with controlling everyone by any means necessary.

My mom is likewise a narcissistic alcoholic who's obsessed with being completely in control, she gaslights and she has the maturity and the intelligence of a kindergartener.

You'd think I'd be a narcissist as well but against all odds, I'm rated as being in the 4th percentile for narcissism, so I'm extremely low in that. I'm likewise in the 18th percentile for psychopathy and 26th for machiavellianism.

I'm committed strongly to not drinking alcohol because I want me and my girlfriend to hopefully have a happy, lifelong marriage without all of the screaming, breaking objects and spending $4,000 in alcohol in one night.

That's not an exaggeration by the way, I saw the transaction myself, my dad spent $4,000 in one night on alcohol and somehow managed to drink it all that same night.

I might at some point in my life, buy $4,000 in ammo but you can bet your ass that 95% of it will still be there by morning and I'll make it last

Oh and you'll see the moon turn green before you hear me yelling the N word 150 times out loud like my dad does. Which is funny since he's the only black person in my family, but whatever

family is the base and foundation in our culture, so yes, it is very important... but we also aim for balance, as grown-ups we're already all our, we live on our own, but we live close enough to stay in touch regularly or as much as we can

Family is ultra important to me. Although I'm not much of a caller (on the phone), I do things for them that make up for it. I don't like talking on the phone--unlike my siblings who can spend hours on it. Not even with my daughters, but I call them and they call me from time to time. I'd rather be with people in person... but yes, family is very important to me.

Yes, it is! I have a sister who makes it a habit to call me every two weeks on weekends. I have no news to tell her--and she sometimes doesn't have much to say either. But she insists on it. I have to admit I sometimes answer days later!

I grew up in a super close family. My dad's side of the family is typical Italian family so he ran the household that way. My family is very affectionate and opinionated lol. Family is everything to me personally.

Very, particularly my wife and kids. My own family... blah. My mom and dad have passed but they made life shitty so although I'm not happy they passed, I am glad to not deal with drama and hurt all the time. My brothers, eh. It's because of them that I really value my family now.

Not much. Family to me is people you are stuck with by obligation and blood not because you picked them because you liked them. Quite a lot of people have the lucky chance to also like their family. But there is also many cases were people don't.

I don't put much importance on things I don't like. So to me family ain't much important. Sorta like my dad though.

Most of my family are toxic af in different ways. From just sheer hate of anyone different or with different beliefs, to being or defending a pedophile, to neglect and abuse. Fuck em. Only my moms brother and his family, and one of my cousins, do I like.

That is very good then, it's incredible how many bad relatives people have some times. my father had to stop talking to his father's side of the family because they were very abusive. it's good you still have some good people in your life
