Do you think that money is one of the most important requirements before having a family?

I usually hear people either saying they are not financially ready to have children or people complaining about poorer parents having children (in the case of multiple children).

How important do you think money is to have a happy family? Why? Is it important to have enough money to go on family trips (to Disney and stuff) once or more a year? Or is being able to financially provide for your kids enjoy? (feed, cloth, shelter, maybe gifts like toys, etc)

Money and mentally ready. If you ask me

Money Is a big factor cause you will destroy that child if you raise them in poverty and high chance they can become a degenerate and no way that will remain a two parent household because the arguments will. always be about money.

Mentally ready is one too because you need to be ready to wake up, and feed the baby, change the kid, keep up with the child growing kindergarten to 6th grade school clothes, teaching life lessons, keeping up with schedules, making sure your life choices don't affect your child, and then teenage years where your kid really needs you to be that parent, and when they're learning to become slightly dependant but can't do everything them selves yet

Learning more about themselves and society and trends and then through adulthood to make sure you keep them standing up & helping them through all their shortcomings and downfalls if they ever become sick or just bump their head in life, Being a parent is forever it never stops even if they find a S/O it never stops.

All that while also maintaining your own life and a lot of people check out and don't deserve to be parents because these kids they made never asked to be in this world.

It doesn't take nearly as much money to raise a kid as people think. Many people spend more on Starbucks and their smartphones than it takes to raise a kid normally. Plus if they didn't have overly expensive vehicles they would save a lot of money too. $300 per month per child can comfortably raise a kid including clothing them, feeding them, and giving them presents for Christmas and their birthday.

This depends on what you "think" is "much money". Data varies greatly according to location, and the numbers come in between $6, 500 and $13,700 in the USA. That does NOT include babysitting or day care costs, the latter of which can be that much or more by itself.

Multiple major news agencies reported that it costs between $17,000 to $18,000 per year which is $1,400 to $1,500 per month to raise a kid. lol
Ridiculous. Plenty of whole families of 4 live on less than $2,000 per month. I know multiple that live on $1,400 per month.

it is super essential in these types of societies, and it’s for the sole purpose of SUPPORTING ☝️ one’s children.

People may define/ debate the idea and roles of parents in every which way-

but I say, it’s really just a need and requirement, that the parents just SUPPORT their kids.

Supporting them in basic essentials, via currency, and supporting their kids’ abilities to create a living by themselves, by ensuring and supporting they ‘qualify’ for some “basic tasks” in society-

like driver's licensing; etc.

as well as them finding a means of their own income, so one day, they can support themselves. (A means of income, through passions and natural skills). ⚽️ 👨‍🏭

Lol they aren’t required to paint an “all in the family,” or I don't know “good times” picture for us, or something like “family ties” idek (classic ‘family’ shows).

They must support their kids in all aspects, until the kids can do it themselves.

If we had no ‘baby walkers,’ they would physically support their toddlers, who were taking their first steps, UNTIL they could do so themselves. People have created walkers though, and the parents can choose them, but still would need to have financial support to just purchase them and then support their tods that way, even if they’re not doing so directly.

Support, support, support.

Otherwise, a child will have to fend for themselves, learn on their own, and take on the “uphill battle” of supporting themselves, in a fast-paced, monetized world (literally), from an almost ‘nothing-to-start-with’ background/ origin.

Support is essential.

Life forms 🧫🔭🧪 need some sort of support. In order to thrive and grow.

Don't worry and I agree that support is extremely important for kids. I've seen kids flourish tremendously just after their parents supported them even with a simple "good luck, you'll do fine" or a "good job there".
I wanted to ask this question since a lot of people made parenting sounds extremely expensive (as if you had to be in the top 40-20 percent of earners before having a child).

A pregnant mother eats double the food to house a baby within her being. I believe a person would need double their income or money to keep up with the daily expenses and inflation of today- in order to care for a child.

It’s not just basic *needs* and wants of the parent- it’ll be the needs and wants of their child.

It’s not just college funding for the parent- it’s college funding for the child.

It’s not just toilet paper or one of those “needed vacations” for a parent. It’s also for their child. If they can barely do it for themselves and not have extra funds in remaining. Then they shouldn’t have a kid- in my opinion.

That’s just how I would parent- ensuring their supported and have the leeway and luxury of having some ‘mess-ups’ or family emergencies.

Maybe that’s ideal. I wouldn’t have a child in any other way and I guess parenting boils down to the mindsets and values of an individual. These are mine

No, I see your point of view too. It also depends the area the family lives at since some places are more hit by raising costs than others. I agree that it is important to cover what not only the baby needs but also the parent. Pregnancy is particularly difficult (and admirable in my opinion), especially the first time since you're not sure about everything. In my area (and most of my state), I think a family with an income of around 35-40k a year could probably be fine raising a kid or two and affording a family but some other places you need 60k just to survive as one person.
Another thing is when the parents focus completely on the financial sides of thing instead of nurturing the kid to become a good person since it's a life long commitment.

You have to be able to support the children. Kids are extremely expensive to raise. I think a lot of people vastly underestimate just how expensive it is.

Money is just a reality in the world. Or at least it is for most people. A moneyless society can exist, and do exist, but that's definitely not for everyone. You can live completely off the grid for example.

In normal society, there is some minimum amount of money needed to raise a kid. I don't know what amount that is, but it's a lot. Just to meet the bare minimum is a lot.

I also think it's a really good idea to have a good start on saving before having kids. Because saving money after having kids will be so much more difficult. It's always far better to start saving at a young wage than wait. So getting as much as possible put away before having kids is a good idea.

So yes, it's one of the most important requirements. No, you don't have to go to Disneyland once a year. But ideally you should have more than the bare minimum.

I find it also important, besides other stuff like love, trust, location regarding economics, safety, stability, politics etc (like I would never ever pop out a child in a second or third world country)

definitely top five, and perhaps top three... but more than just the money, it is financial stability and security that comes with affordability... and that is because when you lack these things in a household, not only you will lack or struggle with the most basic requirements that have to be provided for a family but also... it is going to bring all kinds of stress, tension, anxiety and all kinds of bad moods, vibes and trouble as well

It probably the most important, but I'd say having parents who love each other and get along great is higher.

One should be able to afford and take care of your own children, without relying on others. I know far too many that plan their families and plan to be on housing and/or SNAP and use religious charities for free stuff.

Why would anyone plan their families that way? Using others for their own personal choices, of course any one of those sources could be pulled out from them at any time and then what would they do?

I think it's extremely important. Not in terms of family trips but not having enough for certain things can cause tensions and resentments which can affect kids. You don't need to go to disney to have a family holiday, there are plenty of other places and things to do that are cheaper. But just having enough to live in the right place, have savings or a back up plan, be able to afford the essentials, that's all important, especially nowadays
there are always people who can't afford to have kids but do which places a huge burden on both the parent and child because really? you need to work hard for your children and you can't have a low pay job when raising like 5 kids, you can still be happy sure but there's so much risk

Lets just say. Being comfortable is what you should strive for in terms of money for a family.

Don't go to Disney first of all, you are financing the destruction of America. Secondly, I grew up with a single mother and a brother and we survived. The powers that are interested in population control on a global scale want you to be convinced that all the financial problems THEY ARE CAUSING make affording a family impossible for today's young people. It isn't. My first daughter was born when I was making 10$ an hour. Now we own our house have two vehicles and a second child. I had to hustle a lot to make that happen, and sacrifices were necessary aong the way, buthow badly you want it is going to determine how hard you will fight for it. Do you want a legacy and your genes to survive or not?

You need to provide basic things so the child can survive and have a normal childhood. By basic I mean food, shelter, school, healthcare, clothes and shoes.

True but family's need that money or you stuck fighting a battle your parents started by being broke early lol I knew what bills were when I was 7 and i had to really start thinking of ways to pay them when I was 9 and telling my mom who to call and to ask, I'm not one to complain about how I grew up but it was wrong when i think about it, cause It made me take life way to srs early and matured faster and to think about that for my daughter or any kid I have in the future is wrong, if they ever had to feel or think about that lol

Money or resources. They are not the same thing. Yes, it is important, but this also doesn't mean "only rich people should have kids." Being a decent and committed parent is far more important than money. But I'd say money is #2 in importance.
