Do you ever feel like work is kicking your ass?

Lately I've been so tired from getting up so early to work on claims. We have to do so many a day. I'm starting to lose momentum. I like this job but it's mentally draining.

I think it will get better once the quality control ends and I can go back to a normal schedule but right now I have to wake up super early to get the claims done each day and get checked. I honestly hate getting QC'd and can't wait until it ends.

Try working 14 hours a day baking pastry and birthday and the occasional wedding cakes. It's not so much the baking as it is the decorating of the cakes that takes my time. It does tend to wear you down. But, it is something I chose to do and which I enjoy so I carry on. I couldn't do it without my dedicated crew.

Yes there was times I was doing 14+ hour days, a friend was doing 16hr days. I loved what I did so it was easier, but it's still tiring.

I've heard from another claims adjuster they are being pushed to the limit of what they can do. He was older and experienced, he said the younger folks had it harder as they weren't as efficient/knowledgeable.

Hang in there, eat well, take stress breaks, find some good laughs and time to balance life. Look for ways to save time... that pays off.

Lately yes, because on top of my full time job , I am also trying to start up a business with my brother and best friend , so I am taking on a lot but hoping it is worth it in the long run hoping I can quit my day job one day and just focus on our business

I am rooting for you 😊 This business has always been a passion and dream of
Mine , just there is so much involved to get fully established, we are trying to establish a brewery , We been brewing a bunch of different styles of beer and so far we are getting a lot of positive feedback from it , so we aren’t giving up , We grow our own hops and grains , but we do outsource as well for some of it. so far everyone that has drank our beers have loved it , so that’s why we aren’t giving up. Where there is beer , it will be drank 😊 the only obstacles we face is limitations which we are trying not to get in trouble over , it all comes down to money and taxes and permits etc. on top of that all the expensive equipment we are investing in to brew bigger quantities of beer. So we been doing this the wise way so we don’t end up in the hole. We have sponsors that are supporting us as well , and we market our ourselves , any way we can save on money until we hopefully get a large following and fans. There are so many micro breweries out there that sadly end up failing , so we don’t want to fail whatsoever. Why we are doing it this way instead 😊

I had to sue my former employer (woman bosses and managers right through until a male manager recognised they'd failed to provide me with my annual appraisal to request a salary review for 3 years) because they failed to enact the salary raise they promised me and my union were fukin useless (it's a women's profession largely and as I was already getting paid well and within the "range" the promise couldn't be forced through) so I kicked them to the kerb and went to court where I ended up getting 4 times the requested raise and ended the contract without the necessary 3 months notice. Strangely enough the judge was also female as was their high power lawyer. Me I was on my own with an interpreter.

Now I'm off to a better job in another country where I hope to get a proper treatment

My last full time job was to be a systems Administrator. I liked the job it paid really well and I liked my boss. However there was a lot of moving parts in the job and it was challenging. I also did not get much time off. I did not have a vacation in two years. Last summer I was feeling really burned out and my old boss called me and asked me if I would be interested in teaching a few courses at the college I used to work at.

We get to so so few things in our lives on our own terms so I decided to retire and just work part time teaching and taking the whole summer off.

Happened to me in my first job. I was working 12-14 hours and plus over 2 hours of travelling from work to home.

Love my work. It is my employer who is the drain. He’s bi-polar, bad anxiety, and dramatically emotional. He insist on medicating himself all day on weed and mushrooms. He has the Mister Grinch scowl on his face all day so it is hard his current emotional state … it is killing our business. Which on the upside if he tanks it I buy what remains and resurrect it.
