I need a job, and I live near a fred meyer. Years ago I saw a listing of theirs that said "courtesy clerk/bagger". I applied thinking I was going to be a bagger. At the interview, they said they don't have baggers, and I'll be pushing carts, and cleaning bathrooms. I ended up chickening out when they called me for orientation, and told them I got another offer. Well, years later, I see the same listing. "Courtesy clerk/bagger". Im pretty sure it's what I think it is. (A cart pusher) but I dont want to go to the interview and find out its not what I think it is. Could I just find an employee and ask? I have communication issues, so situations like this are difficult for me.

It's understandable to want clarity before committing to an interview. Consider reaching out to Fred Meyer directly via phone or email to inquire about the specific duties of the "courtesy clerk/bagger" position. Alternatively, visiting the store and asking to speak with a hiring manager or a current employee may provide insight. If communication is challenging, preparing questions in advance can help. Additionally, research online forums or job review sites where employees share their experiences. Gathering this information can help you make an informed decision with confidence.
