How does a school system hire an illegal alien?

It has been discovered by ICE that the Superintendent of Schools in Des Moines. Iowa was an illegal alien. I was hired as an administrator in a local school system. I had to undergo a thorough background check. The state has an agency that does the background check and they charge the town over $5000 to do the background check.

Why did this guy fall through the cracks?

It turns out that this guy does not have a PhD ot an Masters degree. His undergrad degree was from MIT. MIT says they never heard of him. He listed on his resume a big award that he got from a college. The college never heard of him and they never heard of the award.

Crazy! This guy was here from Uganda illegally. Des Moines is another Democrat run hell hole. This guy has had an active deportation order since 2023, I think that’s the year anyway. He already had a weapons charge against him. When authorities tried to pull him over, he fled and eventually ditched his car. They found him hiding in the brush with a loaded gun and a fixed blade knife. He also had $3000 in cash with him. The city was paying him over $300K per year to run their entire school system! That means they found he didn't have legal status prior to May 2024 or revoked it because he missed an immigration hearing. Either way, the government met their burden of proof to order his deportation for not having legal status. That's not even in question. Now, he might get another hearing but the burden falls on him to prove he was of legal status or he must provide evidence and a reason to have legal status granted. Again, the government provided proof he was no longer legal. If you want, I can leave you a link describing how immigration hearings work. The burden now lays in your court to prove he was here legally!

the school dept claims he went through a background check. Well, where did he go to college? Where was he born? Did anyone want to see a birth certificate? Where did he work previously? Is he married?
This information is easily obtained and would have alerted the school department that he was here illegally. These people should all be fired for negligence.
I went through an extensive background check. My previous employers were called and so were the colleges that i attended. I never told them about being in the Air Force because I was only there for a year and would not be considered an official member until after I graduated. They found out anyway.
