Glass is not an electrical conductor, so your window is safe. If your phone were outside, on the ground, it would be a stronger conductor and attractor of lightning than when it’s in your hand inside a shelter. The only thing you shouldn’t do in a lightning storm is take a shower or bath because if lightning strikes your house while water is running, you run the risk of being electrocuted because water is a very strong conductor that electricity likes to flow through.

Lightning can’t strike through a closed glass window.

Glass isn’t a conductor, so you’re safe sitting inside and away from anything metal.

Your phone is also safe to use as long as it’s not plugged into a charger.

The danger comes from wired electronics, not wireless ones.

If you want to be extra cautious during a storm, just stay away from windows, avoid touching anything metal, and don’t use plugged in devices.

It's okay. It can be scary, but being inside you're safe and the thunder can't hurt you. It'll pass, just distract yourself by listening to music, calming music.

Very, very unlikely, lightning does not pass through regular glass, the only real danger is if you’re touching metal window frames or standing in front of a window that gets shattered by a direct strike (which is extremely rare). Using a mobile phone not plugged into a charger, it’s safe, wireless devices don’t attract lightning. The danger comes from corded phones or phones plugged into the wall, because lightning can travel through electrical wiring.
