How do you handle this situation because I’m really close to snapping on him?

I’m 20 years old and work at a skating rink. There’s this really annoying and disrespectful kid I can’t stand — I honestly wish the manager would ban him. He constantly expects free food from all the workers and yells at my best friend at work for no reason. The manager even had to talk to him because my friend has anxiety, and his behavior was making it worse.

He also tries to pick on me, saying I look 50. I ignored him, but he kept calling me “aunt” and other rude names. I told him I was trying my best not to snap at him, and after that he told people, “The 35-year-old,” while pointing at me — even though I’m literally 20. Everyone who meets me says I look my age or maybe mid-20s. This kid is just rude, and I really hope the manager does something about him. He’s known for being a jerk. Someone get me advice on this bastard.

Solution is moving on to a new job. You work in an environment with a lot of kids, and there’s almost always a bad apple you’re dealing with. If it’s not him, it’ll be someone else eventually. I quit all forms of retail years ago and never looked back because of things like that. You’re at work so you can’t exactly retaliate.

File an anonymous report with the local authorities, in some areas you may have a ‘Report bullying’ hotline or Crimestoppers where you can report harsssment.
