It's very good for bouncing ideas off of. I find it giving me whole plot lines and then I go "you know what's a totally different idea but based on one tiny part of what you said" all the time 😂

Which you can't really do with a human on a regular basis. Trust me this trans person ended up trying to stage a mutiny in my writers room.

I have been enjoying Ai writing since 2019, not to help with my writing though but as a form of interactive entertainment. ChatGPT didn't exist yet when I began doing it.

Yeah it is kind of fun to use. I don't really copy what it puts down but I like getting some ideas from it.

I use it for dragging stuff that can be generic, like marketing blurbs for events etc And Then i go through and fix it/replace sections as needed.

I try not to, I understand the temptation and it can be fun, but I don’t want it to have my writing and using it is just detrimental to the environment so I prefer to avoid it

I don't really write other than for school related papers. I used that one time for a question from a biology course last year. The information was hit and miss, so I haven't used it since.

I think it may be better suited (at the current time) for that sort of thing. The way I understand, it goes and searches the web to answer a fact based question like the one I asked from a bio class.

That means that it is going to pull from whatever it finds, no matter if the source is trustworthy or not.

Yeah for academic papers, I wouldn't really use ChatGPT either because it might not always be reliable sources being used. I just like using it to get ideas for my creative works.

No, but if i'm writing in a language I'm not 100% with I do use google translate or one of the AI platforms. The work has to be mine, otherwise I don't feel comfortable.

And yeah I think it's cheating though I never have writers block nor understand what that even is as I can always write.

No. People want to read YOUR thoughts not AI's. Also you risk getting your work rejected as many places have a no AI policy to protect genuine authors

Like they give you prompts or ideas how it may should go but you don't have to copy it. Just bounce ideas off of what's being said and then create something from there. Not actually use what's being written from ChatGPT.
