Why are the floors at McDonald's so slippery even with non slip shoes?

I just started at mcdonald's today, and it felt like I was walking on ice. I looked at the tag of the shoes I bought, and it said non slip. When I got there, my manager looked at the bottom of my shoes, and he said they look like non slip shoes. He said something about having to walk with them on a carpet for a half hour to get rid of the static electricity, or something. Anyways, he didn't seem too concerned, but im afraid im gonna fall and hurt myself. Maybe its not even my shoes, and there is just too much grease on the floor?

The shoes have non-slip soles, when compared to traditional leather soled shoes. When everything is coated in a layer of grease, the coefficient of friction is reduced and everything slips more than it would without that lubricant. Additionally, McDonald’s paying everyone minimum wage typically results in minimum effort. So the people responsible for cleaning that layer of grease off of everything aren’t putting their best efforts into the work. Even if they did, every passing hour of operation just increases the grease being spattered onto the floors and mats, and spread around by everyone’s “non-slip” shoes. The floors are too smooth. You need grip on the shoes and the floor but they're too cheap for proper tiled.
