What do you think about the profession of a comedian?

It would be great if you can be successful at it. That is something that I'd like to do but I know I'm not "quick" enough to handle an audience, etc.

Be sure to have a well paying "day job" because it would be hard to pull off being a comedian. Odds of making a living off of it are very low.

Not for the weak or someone who can't take tough criticism. I think if the person is very talented in comedy definitely pursue it. But it's certainly not for someone who can't take judgment from others or booing at times.

Comedy is a real craft: writing, timing, emotional intelligence, resilience, and business skills. The best stand‑ups I’ve worked with treat it like entrepreneurship: test material constantly, learn from every “bomb,” and build a brand over years, not months.

If it’s your passion, start small: open mics, tight 3–5 minute sets, record everything, study the comics you admire, and keep a day job at first for stability.

It’s risky, but if you approach it seriously and persistently, it’s a legitimate and rewarding profession.

I think most beginner comedians barely make an income. Seems like it can be very challenging at first but it's possible especially if you're passionate about it.
