I love it. I asked this question here because from where I am, people don't really appreciate it sadly. My favorite comedian at the moment is Andrew Schulz. Who's yours? Guarantee whoever you mention in the comment will be watched by yours truly. :)
Some years ago, my dad bought a truck, which for some reason (not that I was complaining) came with six free months of Sirius satellite radio. When I drove it, I spent a LOT of time listening to the comedy stations (there were three or four at the time). There was one really strange thing: some jokes in a comedy bit rely on being able to see what the performer is doing, which obviously wouldn't work on the radio. And sometimes you'd hear part of a set that included one of those bits between two other jokes. Okay; you're not going to edit THAT thoroughly; there may even be rules against it. Fair enough. But there was one guy in particular (I never caught his name) who they REPEATEDLY took sections of where the *whole bit* required being able to see what he was doing- which, of course, I couldn't, because it was on the radio. It was REALLY weird.
I very much came to enjoy the work of a guy named Baron Vaughn, though.

Comedians, but especially black comedians, really are very clever and it takes skill to do what they do. Dave Chappelle will always be a greatest hit. The thing about stand up comedians is that they know how to get you thinking about politics and the state of the world by altering it in humorous ways. That takes a really good knack.

I like unexpected punchlines and clever wordplay. I watched a piece just a couple of minutes ago of Dave Chapelle basically building up a joke about an older lady who he thought didn't recognize him as a celebrity, bragging about her daughter to him and showing him a picture of her daughter, only for Dave to compliment her daughter and find out that the picture is of a transgender woman. Turns out she was setting him up the whole time. I just appreciate clever humor that is original, not repetitive bullshit.
I love good stand-up. My favorites are Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and George Carlin (RIP). And lately I’ve been getting into Shane Gillis. This is a REALLY GOOD set, catch it while you can still watch it for free!
https://www.youtube.com/embed/zKUpf1Vx0vsKatt Williams and his views on Ritalin sums it all up.
I used to be a stand ip comedian amatuer, in the hopes of it helping me find a girlfriend but that never happened in my many years of comedy. Someone here once asked, what career gets the most girls. I told him, choosing one, or even the hobby, for the wrong reasons will never feel anything more than self turture. Choosing to do what you love, will be more rewarding.
I can't speak on the behalf of all comedians but in sone weird ways, it seems like all of the comedians use it to patch up something that was or still is missing.Dave Chappele, Bill Burr, Tom Segura, Joe Rogan, John Mulaney, Jim Norton, Sarah Silverman, Ali Wong, Katherine Madigan, Anjelah Johnson, Tiffany Haddish, Jim Gaffigan, Patton Oswalt…
i could go on. If i’m listening to something, it’s more often comedy than music.Dave Chapelle
Ralphie May
Fluffy
George Carlin
Esther Povitsky
There’s a few folks on the Laugh Factory videos on FB watch that are really cool too.I really don't like stand up comedy because usually the humour is all around the same, I'm more of a dry and witty humour type of a guy which is hard to pull off on a stage without making others bored, it's more of small group or 1 on 1 kind of a thing in my experience :)
Andrew Schulz, Bill Burr and Dave Chapelle are the three funniest people on the planet rn

I do not like the raunchy standup guys. It shows lack of talent when they have to resort to profanity to try and get laughs. Jay Leno is very funny.
Usually it's the only thing I laugh at these days.
Stavros Hilkias is the best I love that guy. I’m big into stand up tbh.
I love it. My favourite of all time, and one I recommend often is Bill Hicks. RIP.
I used to love it but all my favorites turned out to be Illuminati puppets pushing these agendas that I don't approve of so I don't even watch it anymore.
I absolutely love Kevin Hart but my second favorite is Dave Chappelle. I try and watch comedy shows whenever I can. They're just too good not to at least smile 😂
I like theo von
and of coarse the king George Carlin
19 hbo specialsI am okay with it as long as they include themselves
