I've always had project based jobs. I've never been in a 9 to 5 Mon - Fri sort of role. The stuff I do is generally stuff which needs to be created from scratch in real time where there is no roadmap and no process or instructions exist. If I need to work 3 weeks straight without a day off, I'll do that. If I have nothing particularly important going on I can disappear for a few days or come in late or leave early. If I'm into something I don't mind working 16 hours and I don't really care what day of the week it is.

I work freelance, so it varies a lot. Sometimes 3 days a week, sometimes 7/7. The longest I've done was 16 days in a row, including weekends, for a large project. Working 12 hours a day is not uncommon. Other days I put in 3 or 4 hours. It all evens out at the end of the month.

As a freelancer, you basically work when work is available. Managing your time accordingly is part of the job.

since January it has been 7 days a week until this week where i have a few extra days here and there because we got a little ahead of ourselves, but last year there were 2 times when i had at least 3 months off which was awesome, it's not usually that much but i do get long stretches of time off in between long stretches of work, or i can disappear for a week or two if i need to, just not right now. this last patch of no time off for 2 months has been the most difficult

From oktober to April my job is about 100 hours a week. Sometimes divided over 6 days sometimes over 7 days.

From April till September I mostly have time off. The hours go back to about 5 hours a week.

Geez. I couldn't do it. I've done 80 hours a week for 4-10 weeks and have been utterly shattered by the end of it every time. Respect.

It depends on the job, workload and deadlines. It could be as much as seven days a week and 15+ hours a day.

I sometimes work 3 days and sometimes 7 days, but it's usually 5. I own/run a small business and sometimes it's a bit slow or a full day job gets rescheduled, and other times we are racing to get a job done so a customer can move back in to their house and we have to work until we get it done, even through weekends.

It's just a part of the deal.

The job I had for 30 years started out 9:00-5:00 Mon-Fri. But, after a few years, they went to 4 1/2 days a week - 8:30-5:30 Mon-Thurs with an hour paid lunch break and two 15 min breaks, and 8:30-12:30 on Fridays with one 15 min break.
That was for the office. But I mostly worked in the field and worked longer hours to get my job done. I often worked 50 or 60 hours a week.

I work in medical so it’s 3-12 hour shifts a week, off for 4 days each week. It can be crazy, but it’s not that bad. Yes for three days you work, go home, sleep, wake up then back to work. But it’s worth it w 4 days off each week.
