100 is average. Someone with a 140 IQ would already know that it's not "normal", depending on how broadly you define normal. (Unless they are living in a cave.)

140 is almost three standard deviations above average, which puts it at about the top 1%.

Someone with an IQ of 140 should also know that people don't have "an" IQ. If they take multiple legitimate IQ tests, they will have a range of IQs, which may vary a LOT. There is no such thing as someone having one specific IQ.

Also, the vast majority of online IQ tests aren't real IQ tests. Real IQ tests depend on having vast numbers of people taking the same test, then comparing the results. It needs to be very systematic and controlled.

A person's IQ doesn't matter nearly as much as what they do with it. A person with an IQ of 80 can totally outperform someone with an IQ of 180.

IQ is part of a series of test, used to establish an individuals ability to solve problems and their perspective ( their ability to anticipate an answer to a problem with no apparent answer based on its pattern of function in the past.) There is a sweet spot and its can become socially paralyzing if too high. Like putting a 428 Chevy engine in a Volkswagen Beetle frame. Hard to control.

140 is near genius level. Should be someone who is fairly booksmart. But remember, booksmart is not wise or experienced. Doesn't mean someone has a great personality or gets along well with people.

Intelligence is not the sole measure of a person. Generosity and kindness and other factors are equally important.

Forget "normal". Normal applies to biological functions, not personal characteristics or sexual or other preferences. According to www.omnicalculator.com/health/iq-percentile, someone with an IQ of 140 is more intelligent than 99.6% of US residents. In other words, about 4 out of 1000 people have IQs of 140 or higher.

100 is the average and the mean, statistically. (assuming the Stanford-Binet tests) for your math gurus, standard deviations would be 16. First standard deviation is 116, second is 132, and the third is 148. Anything above the second- or about 130/132 or so- is very high.

I knew a guy with a 139 IQ who was brilliant. He was making money as a car dealer by age 17 and was a math prodigy. He’s at a top med school today. He’s definitely in the gifted bracket, but he's not a genius.

For comparison, people have estimated that Einstein's IQ was around 160. We'll never know for sure because he never took a test. It's possible he was as dumb as toast.
