11 years is a long time and im pretty sure you didn't just start feeling unhappy after 11 years. You can quit but I would advise having a backup plan because the market is unpredictable. Lots a people dont quit after years on the job only because they know they won't make the same money or have the same benefits elsewhere. If you dont have the draw backs of such then might as well move on. But there is no guarantee you will be anymore happier elsewhere. Gotta check the pros and cons

You can find happiness or stability hard to get both. I would go with the second

No it's not. If they weren't happy they would quit you in a heartbeat

  • I’ve advised many professionals in this exact spot—and lived a version of it myself.

No, it’s not wrong. Staying in a job that’s draining you long‑term usually costs more than leaving: health, motivation, relationships, even future opportunities.

Before you quit, though, get practical:

    - Clarify what specifically makes you unhappy (workload, culture, schedule, pay?).
    - Identify what you DO like (benefits, stability, skills).
    - Update your resume around USPS skills: reliability, logistics, customer service.
    - Start applying quietly; aim for overlap, not a gap.

You’re allowed to choose a life that fits you better.

Management was toxic our union president only helped who she wanted to help I was at the bottom of the pay grade and apparently everyone said to do my job doesn’t require a brain at all, like everyone thought that
