I worked at a janitorial job years ago but was let go because I got into legal issues. I got a job at mcdonald's since. I forgot what position she is. I think she's the executive director. Well she came through the drive through one night. I said hi, and asked if she rememberd me. She said yes, and we chatted for a little bit. She then told me that they are looking for someone to work, and she asked what my charges are and that they might be able to hire me back. She said to contact her if im interested. I called the company but can't get through to them. I emailed them, but havnt gotten a response. I talk to my old supervisor sometimes from that job, and I was gonna ask her if she could give me her number. Would that be inappropriate?

It’s absolutely appropriate.
I’ve seen this many times: using existing contacts is normal and smart, especially when someone has already invited you to reconnect.
You can say something like:
“Hi [Name], I ran into [Executive Director] and she mentioned they’re hiring and asked me to contact her, but I haven’t been able to reach her through the main line. Would you be comfortable sharing her number or passing my contact info to her?”
This is professional, polite, and respects boundaries.
