Working in health care, I really love the endless growing possibilities and work places I can choose from. Hospitals, care homes, mental health institutions, rehabilitation clinics; we are wanted everywhere. I kind of work in hospitality, but I don't have to people please all day everyday. I'm a doctor, therapist, policewoman, stylist, pharmacist among many other things. I can teach new nurses everything I know, while still learning a ton of things myself everyday. I can tell people what to do, work with my friends and really make a difference in the life of vulnerable people.
The fact that it enables me to be completely aware of the world that surrounds me, I work with the seasons, with nature and animals, I can do things at my own pace, my own rules, my own hours. It requires one to be selfless and not selfish, many are the sacrifices but I am a happier human being than most because of the job and life I live which as you may gather are necessarily connected.
Are you kidding? I’m an aircraft mechanic. It’s like a huge piece of playground equipment. I can crawl or walk all over it, use really nice tools to remove, replace parts which is fun as hell, make check flights etc. Of all the things mankind has created I think an airplane is the most beautiful
I am a teacher and I like working with young people to hopefully help them have a better life?
Well most you might but a few like me you fail miserably. Some just don’t do school at all. Some really don’t get algebra and see no point in grammar. Then you come along and give a knee jerk response to parents that’s always the same for every kid. “He could do so much better if he’d apply himself.” Fuck you. All that did was get me beaten and make me hate school even more. The only response I ever got for ANY subject in HS to my question of why we have to do this shit was “you’ll have to know this for college.” Me? College? Are you fucking drunk? I want to murder all staff and faculty and blow this building up now! I knew what I wanted from a very young age and not anything in HS was necessary. I only finished the tenth grade and I still did my dream job for my dream company and I didn’t need, want, or use you. I slept in all your classes and I never got a GED nor have I ever regretted quitting. Best thing I ever did for myself. Yes I even hated kindergarten. I can’t think of anything that was fun, adventurous, interesting or exciting about school. Just pure misery

the good thing about my work is that... it gives me flexibility to take my time for other things I actually enjoy and love way more, like... the people in my life
Being able to take off the books work and earn without having to pay tax.
Cash is king.
The only thing I love is the paycheck, pension, retirement plan, benefits & the overpriced vending machines in which I refuse to put money in.
