What do you want him to do? I mean would you be ok with him working a job where he makes HALF what he used to without benefits?

I don't know your boyfriend. I don't know how much effort he's putting in. But i retired early a few years ago. I've recently looked into going backed to work (primarily for the benefits). But it's considerably changed world since i last worked. There are A LOT of jobs out there. If you just want a job you can get one easy enough. But you have to make your choice between good pay or benefits. Because most jobs do not want to offer you both.

I can't know if your boyfriend is standing firm demanding his worth or not. But you know him and we cannot. So i think you know your answer. When you're partners with someone their employment affects you, and your's him. So while you may not get a direct say in the job he takes, or keeps waiting. If he's thinking of you he should be accepting your CONSULTING on the matter. Because it most definitely affects you.

Assuming you are in the US, there are plenty of jobs. Young people report having trouble finding professional jobs they want. But there is work to be had. Even dead end work maintains your skills while unemployment depreciates them. Boys gotta work.
