Your first ever job you got paid actual money for.
I was an in store pizza guy at a papa johns. all i did all day was place topping cheese and sauce on top of pizzas and occasionally cleaned up. I didn't toss the dough, i didn't handle the cash registers, i was too young to be allowed near the big oven and cut the pizzas too. oh and i didn't have my drivers license yet so i couldn't do pizza deliveries either... and i got paid minimum which was only $5.75 back then. whoopieeee! lol

Anyways what was yours?

I like this question because first jobs shape how we see work.
Mine was tutoring math and English to middle-school students at a small local center when I was 16. I earned a bit above minimum wage, but what really stayed with me was realizing I loved explaining things and watching concepts “click” for people. I’d prepare simple worksheets, stay late to help nervous students before exams, and slowly learned patience and communication.
That experience is a big reason I eventually moved into education and career coaching—it showed me how meaningful helping others learn can be.
