Questions: Education & Career

this is all hypothetical, of course. We aren’t allowed to close but I think we should if we cannot keep the children cool.

Pretty much as a guide on what fields to look into more. I've been trying to plan my life as detailed as possible these past few years but my career/work life is the only area I'm uncertain of. As far as I remember, I was always looking forwards to becoming an engineer and maybe studying physics on the side but most of the people I know are encouraging me to look more into Nursing or Teaching. Both are due to the ability to directly help people and a lot of the people close to me work in these fields. however, choosing a career without looking into it and its future prospects seems like a bad idea to say the least.

... what do you think about each field? why would you pick it?

I'm working with my client and her 5 year old brother comes in unsupervised talking, saying look at me, bringing in all his toys, then ask me for a pen then looks in my bag while I'm in the middle of care. I told him not to look in my bag then proceeded with ignoring him by acting super busy until he went away several times until he was gone for good🤣. I know there's a camera in the room. And the mom had an attitude when I was leaving.

I used to think I worked at a great office with a wonderful team. I thought everyone respected me and valued my hard work.

Two months ago I head from a manager that one of the other senior staff members were looking to hire another member for their team. I applied for the position and the senior staff member told me that they were viewing other resumes too but that I would make a great addition to the team. He also told me he would keep me updated on the status.

He never updated me. Two days ago I find out through a corporate email that they hired someone for that team. I’m unsure if it was for the position I applied for. I reached out to the senior staff member if there was any updates on the position I applied to. There’s been no response so far.

I always help him out in meetings and honestly feel so disrespected. Makes me feel like hard work gets taken advantage of and not appreciated.
