The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

In the GaG world of whiny crybaby takes about feminism, I seek to return to the old days when men just worried about being men. On my little home network, I have digital copies of movies that I watch over and over again. I came to realize that most of these movies are real guy movies. There probably aren't many women who will be very interested. So I went ahead an created my list of the greatest guy films of all time.

In no particular order.

1. Ronin

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

Just an awesome flick, about spies, criminals, and espionage. Stellar cast, stellar acting, the plot is kind of weak, but who cares. Plenty of violence and car chases and everything you could ask for in a guy.

2. Fight Club

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

Just a wild ride. It is ridiculously funny, great fights, and a totally unconventional plot. I love this flick.

3. Antoine Fisher

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

One of the few serious movies on my list. It just got to me because its one of the few movies that hollywood made about men that actually talks about issues that men struggle with.

4. The Bourne Identity

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

Just a great action ride. Great acting, stellar cast, and a great script. It pulls you in and you are glued to the screen from beginning to end. Another spy, action thriller. As you can tell, I love spy movies.

5. Tombstone

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

If you are guy and you don't like this movie, something is wrong with you. Just great acting by Val Kilmer here. It is funny, filled with action, even if the script is kind of lame.

6. Magnificent Seven, the Original and Remake

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

The original Magnificent Seven is such a beautiful western. It has a little bit of humor and a whole lot of fun. It was just a masterpiece in terms of the old Westerns. The remake is decent. It has a lot more action, I think they could have freed up Chris Pratt a little more to make things more fun. But it was okay.

7. Sherlock Holmes 2, Game of Shadows

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

A magnificent cast, great music, awesome costumes/scenery, absolute awesome acting and a perfect script. This take on Sherlock Holmes is far superior to any other movie or series about the character.

9. Ironman

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

Just a personal fav. Not the best script, but it just reminded me that "we" men used to be builders. Great action and this flick is absolutely hilarious.

10. Blazing Saddles

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

This movie was so far ahead of its time. The jokes about race and American society just keep coming. Mel Brooks invented this type of humor before Seth McFarlane was even born.

11. Enter the Dragon

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

Bruce Lee in simply the greatest martial arts film of all time. Since its release in 1973, no other film has come close to surpassing it.

12. The Lord of Rings, Return of the King.

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

In my opinion, the best fantasy movie of all time. Peter Jackson's greatest work with booming special effects, great story, costumes, action, everything you could possibly want in a movie.

13. Casino Royale

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

Daniel Craig, introductory Bond film was so awesome. This movie was near perfect and I am a Bond nut anyway.

14. The Mechanic

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

No, not the Jason Statham film. This is the original with Charles Bronson. I didn't think with Jason Statham that they would stick with the original script which made the first movie so compelling. One of Charles Bronson's best performances.

15. Kung Fu Hustle

The Greatest Guy Movies Of All Time

Kung Fu Hustle is another one of those films where if you don't like it, something is wrong with you. Hilarious from start to finish. It pays homage to the old martial arts films genre, but at the same time makes fun of it. The humor is dark then light. It is an incredibly touching film at some points. But filled with action also. I don't know how Stephen Chow was able to pack so much into this little film.
