Oh good, I didn't even have to go watch it. I knew somehow it would suck, anyway. Rogue One was a nice breath of fresh air and then it went back to being crap. Ren is the worst sith lord EVER. So poorly written.
It's still a lot better than Episode I & II. And I don't really care about the "forced" racial diversity because there was only 1 black guy in the whole galaxy for the Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, the Phantom Menace, Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith.

It's not that I disagree. I just didn't know about Kathleen Kennedy and her role in creating The Last Jedi. Thanks for informing me.
Well, since she's in charge of Lucasfilm she decides who's gonna direct the movies. She turned away Colin Trevorrow - who's idea for TLJ was way better - to go with that nut Rian instead. I've even heard that Disney is now not that happy with what she's doing and trying to figure out what to do with her.
Could lead to a breach of contract suit if they replace her...
They're not going to fire, but it's speculated that they might move her somewhere else in the company.

Not really. I don't remember every scene of the movie. If you say there were a few non-white people on a star destroyer I would have to believe you. Though you must admit, with the rebellion becoming very diverse it doesn't make sense for the overwhelming majority on the dark side to be white men.
I also think there needs to be a stronger black lead than Fin. He's just a dork. And if he has a romantic interest, that woman should also be black. All this interracial mixing pushed by the media divides people more than it brings them together.
Yeah I actually don't have a problem with diversity on either the Rebel side or Dark Side, I'm just saying that Disney has now put mixed races in there.
I like Finn, and he was continued as a dork by Racist Johnson. And why in the world should he be with a black women just cuz he's black? I love seeing the interracialism. That doesn't separate people, it resounds with them in a world of more interracial relationships these days, and encourages people to step outside the box.
That's exactly my point. It's not an example of the times. Black men overwhelmingly date and marry black women. We already have tons of commercials, movies, and advertisements that promote interracial relationships. We need more stories and characters that resonate with black couples.
No, it's a lot of black men in relationships with white women. And even Latinas. You don't sound like you want to see black with black for justice sake, it sounds like you're using that as a cover for how you actually don't like seeing black men with white women and how that bothers you.
Black men are about 6% of the U. S. population and roughly 27% (If I remember correctly) of black men marry outside of their race. That means most black men marry black women.
Why on earth would you be against this? Are you a black man who prefers women outside of your race? There's nothing wrong with that, but as I stated and can provide proof if you need it, dating outside your race is the exception, not the rule. So wouldn't it make sense to have more black couples in movies? Why should black women always be a footnote? It doesn't make sense to me if you truly want more inclusion in these movies.
I fully agree that forcing racial quotas into a Star Wars movie is a mistake. Pick a race and stick with it.

My main problem with this movie is that it makes no sense connected to Episode 7, so now i don't know what episode 9 is going to do. Is Abrams going to follow what he did in episode 7 or follow the new stuff episode 8 set up. Even so one episode of the trilogy won't make any sense.
Exactly. I thought JJ was gonna be on our side but he apparently has said he thinks Episode 8 was good. So with that being said, I don't think 9 will be much better.

I don't know. Maybe he actually likes it. All i'm saying is even though he hated it, Lucasfilm sure has told him that he can't share anything negative because that wouldn't play well for the studio and make backstage drama, and that don't help the box office for the movies.
