I have imagined myself in a almost every book I read...

It is like you are in the pages of the book and the fate of the character is your own fate.

It feels good cause it it faraway from the reality.

All those conversations ring in your head as if they are your sayings.

All those compliments feels real, almost.

Iv'e been reading the Mortal Instruments and I sometimes feel like Clary, the main character, all those good as well as bad times feel like my own experience.

But for that you have to read it passionately and by heart.

If I can't picture myself in the book. I'm not engrossed by the writing. Which means I'll never finish the book.

Generally my imagination is working on overdrive when reading and see myself as the character. I don't know about others. But when I'm reading it's like I'm narrating in my head. Sometimes I even picture voices for the characters. Plus pick up or slow down the pace depending on what's going on.

Well, I don't find this one boring at all, and yes I've imagined myself as a character in a book I've read all the time. It really lets me lose myself in the story and get more invested with the characters and their stories.

No I don't do it for books but when it comes to movies and shows oh yes, I sometimes pretend I am a character on a couple of my favorite shows like Total Drama and Robot Chicken.
