Indestructible Aura Too: A Fantastic story about Kristen Lentz and her friends

Every great hero needs a great villain, or so Hollywood would have us believe. One day in the not-too-distant future, about seven years after the birth of Kristen's daughter, Sophie, a perfect villain emerged who was suited to fight Team Gamma and win the battle too. If you've read my other memoirs, you may know him already. His name is Crystal Clear. On this day, Crystal Clear tortured his former mutant partners in crime until they each gave him their powers one by one. Not one for true diplomacy, he threatened to conquer the world, and he believed he was the most powerful being of any kind that Team Gamma had ever faced in battle. Perhaps he was right. Perhaps he was wrong. At any rate, Team Gamma assembled themselves to fight Crystal Clear. It didn't take long for Crystal Clear to defeat the entire Team Gamma party. He possessed the illusion powers of Trickie, the Invincibility of Golem, the Fire powers of The Clown, the Dimension powers of a woman named Quark. Moreover, he had all the powers of over one hundred other minor mutants whom he had tortured into giving him their powers. It was no use. Jonathan Tanner teleported five seconds into the past.

"Remember how you girls defeated Tetra the second time you fought her," asked Jonathan Tanner.

"Of course," said Madeline. "We combined our powers."

"Do it," said Kristen.

In that moment, Madeline Tanner used her Phasing powers to phase the entire Team Gamma squad into another reality between space and time. Here, not even Crystal Clear could reach them. This time, everyone combined their powers and gave them to Kristen. Then Kristen phased back into normal reality and faced Crystal Clear alone.

"It doesn't matter how many powers you absorb, Kristen," said Crystal Clear. "I am invincible, and I will not stop until you call me your god."

"My friend Malia taught this lesson to another lunatic long ago," replied Kristen. "There is only one God, and you are not it."

Kristen threw her full power at Crystal Clear, but it didn't hurt him one bit. She scanned him with all the powers of observation she had absorbed from her friends. There were no flaws in his physical form, and no flaws in his DNA. He appeared to be the perfect life form now. She would need to change that. Kristen moved as fast as lightning. Then she moved even faster and faster until she passed the speed of light. Time slowed to a stop, then began running in reverse. She ran time backward and followed Crystal Clear back in time as he stole abilities from mutants over and over again.

She travelled to the first defeated mutant, who was Trickie. She introduced tiny genetic flaws in Trickie's DNA. Then she spun time forward again until Crystal Clear was going to rob Golem of his powers. She used a Dimensional Sword to cut through Golem's body in microscopic incisions over and over and flaw his DNA too. She then in like manner flawed the DNA of every future mutant Crystal Clear absorbed and murdered. He wouldn't know the difference until it was too late. Then she spun time forward until the moment she had reversed it at the previous paragraph. "There's something I need to tell you, Crystal Clear," said Kristen. "You're not invincible. I erased that timeline and replaced it with a timeline where you've lost all of your abilities."

"Nice try," said Crystal Clear. "I don't believe you."

"Okay," Said Kristen. "How's this?"

She fired off bolts of Positronic Lightning from her fingertips, which struck the glass particles which made up Crystal Clear's mortal body. Every electron in his body was annihilated by the Positronic Lightning immediately. Then the positive charge of the Protons remaining in his body blew his entire body apart at nearly the speed of light. That was the end of Crystal Clear's rampage, and I doubt he'll ever be coming back.

After this, Kristen phased into the reality between time and space, and there she gave everyone their powers back.
