Is MC Ren Underrated ( NWA/Straight Outta Compton )?

Although I thought it was a great movie, one of the best this year. They made MC Ren seem like a side character and didn't give him as much as of a part as he deserved.
After all he wrote many of NWA's lyrics along with Cube.

I personally think he's Underrated.
