I like the old music ever since I was a little girl. So, no, I don't think you are weird at all or maybe we are weird! But hey, at least you are not the only one, bud😂
But yeah, everyone have different taste in music. It's actually pretty refreshing to hear someone as young as 15 say that he appreciates the 50's and 60's music. :)
No, I'm 32 and like it too. They had some good music from back then. Now all the music sounds the same as do the singers. They don't have any groups anymore just single singers.
@_Jay_ I'm saying the singers mostly sound the same and in the same style. Sometimes I can't tell them apart. Frankly I think most of them are over rated which is why I don't listen to the radio anymore. And every single Christmas it is Last Christmas - Taylor Swift on and on. Reminds me of all the same questions that are asked time after time - yeah, like that kind of tired hearing it.
thats because you are comparing music from a decade to music of roughly 5 years. 50s and 60s music was also set in trends. its different from todays music, but today there are also different genres so dont come saying any of that bs.
anyway. in 50s and 60s voices were also similar. there were for example 2 female voice types: the low and sultry, and the high and innocent. for males it was always the same lower but smooth tone.
chord progressions were also the same. and so were the instruments and back singers.
I don't know you just sound illogical and uneducated rn. which im sure you're not, but you're showing a very bad side of yourself. please respect modern artists.
PS, ricky nelson and paul anka also sound very similar. So its not just artists today but also artists back then.
@_Jay_ I think you can find almost any song on you tube.

No, it isn't weird but you need to recognize that it will get women drooling over you.
Girls like common shared experiences and liking the same music is one way to do that. If you don't you will seem weird to many.
Taste in music is just one part of seduction.
While we always say that we want to stand out and be different there are good ways to stand out and bad ways to stand out. Music is a bad way. Washboard abs a d muscles is a good way. Clothing can be a good way. Not chasing them is a good way...
Ah music from the era of talent rather than looks... nonmy music tastes ranges from 19th century classical to modern parodies

I think that's awesome.. I listen to music my late Mom used to listen to
so no you're not weird.. Here is some of Moms music :
Darling Lorraine - The Knockouts... This song reminds me of my late Great Aunt Lorraine... This guy singing is in his 80's.. His voice rocks for his age.
@nadim171
You're Welcome and
Thank you
No, I've liked 1950's - 1960's music ever since I was little. I mean even at the age of around eleven-years-old I'd be able to name you artists like Bobby Darin, Del Shannon, Paul Anka, Donovan, The Platters, James Brown, and Buddy Holly. It was a good period for music.
it is not weird at all for you to like these years of music ! for when I was a teenager I liked listening to Laurence Welk on Saturday night with my mom and dad ! thanks
It was popular back then for a reason; it's darned good music. Now, enough time has passed that it's lost the "your parents like it, so it must suck" stigma.
Not at all! I listen to 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s music quite often. One of my favorites songs is from the 60s. I personally like older songs from the 2000s and further back more than the new stuff 😊
No I actually like all types of music regardless of the time it was made. Lots of 50s to the 2000's I like them.
Nope not at all, it's pretty cool actually and unique... Something that might come in handy in your love life in the future, u should definitely use that
Not at all. I like older music too and it sounds like you have good taste in music.
You're welcome.
That's pretty awesome! I salute you for protecting our history's culture!
Yeah I laughed at my dad, Since he came home and out of nowhere he begun complaining that "damn what smells like beans in here"
We just laughed out loud, Since we knew what had went down at that very moment.
So we all burst out in laughter, and he left the room sad 😈. 😆😆😆😆
Not at all. In fact its refreshing. Keep going along that road and your musical knowledge will be second to none
Not at all. The fame of the Fallout games helped to normalise big band music even nowadays.
Maybe uncommon but I wouldn't say weird. It's music worth liking so you do you!
Definitely not everyone has a different taste in music.
Its fine i used to like some songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s,90s,2000s but i got tired of it all now😢. I couldn't get them out of my head so i quit. As i write a mexican happy birthday song is playing in my head
It's a lot better than 75% (or more) of the shit out there today, so don't fret about it !
It might be different, but it's not weird. I listen to all sorts of music.
Any band that can make sounds pleasing with just tensioned metal wires, wood and horse hair deserves to be respected by golly these young whipper snappers with their βautotunedβ voices and confounded computer generated beats take no skill or talent
It's not weird. I think it's actually great. You are liking the best music after all!
No. I like classical some of them were about 100 years ago.
No. There is a lot of great music from that time period.
It just means you have good taste and an ear for actual music. Or maybe you were reincarnated.
I did when I was a teen also, even older music than that, still do. It's probably more common than you think, some just won't want to admit it lol. But some of my friends were the same.
no. you're not special because you're young and like old music. grow tf up
No i know i get heated over this but i just hate it when people claim some music to be more special or better than other because who tf are you to judge do you have education? im sorry tho like i try not to get so pissed off but then people say that TODAYS MUSIC IS SO BAD 50S WAS REAL MUSIC. like no. wtf no i will fucking beat people like that up
where is
john coltrain
Dave Brubeck
Nina Simone
Sam Cooke
Nothing wrong with that at all lots of good music came out of those eras.
Nah man, embrace it. In my opinion music from back then is better than the stuff fron today.
Makes sense, you like it, you tend to have those types of political views too
Like cucks
It's not weird. At least I like good music. From 50s 'till this day
todays music tends to be angry, music from the older era usually was upbeat, and full of hope, with a few sad songs thrown in
I like old songs too.
There were some good music from that era, so no.
Nah. We all have different tastes
I'm it's still good music
50 or 60s music is a vibe
I don't think so, I like old songs.
This era of music was the best in my opinion
You are cool.
That's not weird at all
