Joker was a movie that was shocking to me. It went over the top and it makes me wonder how people saw and took in that violence.
Clearly there are more violent films than that but where the evil is celebrated as the joker is a celebrated iconic character, it just makes me wonder if it will inspire something... I honestly don't know and I hope that it simply will be taken as just a movie but the messages in movies are powerful and if they can move people emotionally, how much could a movie like this inspire the wrong person

If that's the case then what about horror movies and slasher films? And then what about video games?
Long time ago there were people that killed in the name of God. Then you can start saying religion causes violence.
I think it's just the mentality of the individual.
Uh, no. The movie 'Joker' is about how mental health is no joke. Us people with mental health shouldn't be looked down upon and should get the treatment we actually need. Some of us who takes meds, meds won't work for some of us no matter the stronger the dose or change of meds. We are people too. (I'm talking about people with any kind of disorder and negative (?) personality traits.)
What movie doesn’t promote violence? Lol they all do oh well

Yes. All entertainment should be government sponsored only. No sex, no violence, nothing that shows anything other than showing people how to live and act to be a good conforming person to the exact scientifically proven best way to be a human. Any deviation results in prison.
No, I think the vast majority of adults are capable of differentiating fantasy from reality and don't feel any desire to act out things they see in movies. I do think it can be cathartic for some, though. Many people felt a connection to the character of Arthur and felt sympathetic toward his story.
No, I mean Deadpool and Logan and Quentin Tarantino movies are 100 times more violent than the Joker which hardly had any violence most of the movie until the end and most of it wasn't good in a good light. So, if those movies don't "endorse" or "promote" violence the Joker sure won't..
I don't know, I remember the avengers movie being pretty damn violent. The like kill off aliens and stuff all the time. And that is targeted for kids. American cinema loves violence. The Joker is just a movie where the main character is a psychopath. They are at times a protagonist, yet also a villain. This seems to confuse people, which I find funny. There are better movies that have this phenonmenon, for example, Taxi Driver (1976) and Falling Down (1993 ).
No. Drugs promote violence. The drug gangs kill each other, the street gangs fight for drug corners, the addicts rob and steal, those under the influence crash cars maiming and killing, domestic violence increases... movies have very little with big crime statistics.
Anything under the entertainment industry isn't something I really look at that promotes shit. The entertainment you choose to engage in is completely your choice. It goes off what you already show interest in.
They promote left wing status quo change violence which obviously is appealing to people who don't get any benefit from the existing world order.
I personally would prefer rebellions going around the world over people keeping quiet about the injustice and trust me a lot of injustice is not due to elite class or wealthy people but more due to ordinary people taking away others rightsThere is a slight chance , since I seen a lot of incels use joker quotes.
I think if the media didn't show concern then there would have been another psychotic mass shooter.
But overall I people were able to distinguish between fantasy from fiction.
Besides the movie was extremely boring to me and an extreme insult to the joker character.Yeain a way. Kinda worry me after it called out so many people were dying their hair green to match. Its like okay your showing me your Def mentally unstable.
Sometimes violence is necessary. Also the state has a monopoly on violence so its only deemed unacceptable when the people commit it. So even if they do encourage it, which i dont fully think they do, then it doesn't matter.
Ahhh, that’s why one has the freedom to choose what kind of movie one prefers...
Some people like violence and whatever has a consumer demand will be endorsed. No, come on. Only a deranged mind finds excuses in entertainment. People with a trigger looking for an excuse.
I believe so. A movie about a social reject incel with a shitty home and career life, finally snapping on those who upset them.
No.
There is nothing inherently wrong with violence anyway.
Only a slave, or a prey animal, fears violence.- https://www.youtube.com/embed/E5tuWsIGTqU
The philosophy of life by the joker owlee birdee 😊
I don't think so. But I also know the difference between fiction and none fiction.
I don't think so. Most movies and shows are extremely violent because it's entertaining.
It can influence ones who were already mentally ill
It depends on who's watching and can handle something of a story with violence like that.
No they do not. Violence by individuals use art such as these movies as their excuse and small minded people believe them.
