How much tolerance do you have watching gory films or those with violent scenes?

I found that my tolerance in watching horrific scenes in movies has gone down. I was never into these kind of films although I like a good horror movie as long as it's in good taste and not bloody or anything.

However, last night I was watching "Bullet Head". (Don't worry--this is not a spoiler). It's about 3 criminals who try to pull a heist at a warehouse, and get trapped in it while trying to get away from a vicious dog. The dog manages to get loose after they lock him out, but is let loose again. The pit bull is first found by one of the criminals (drug addict) who is going for a "fix" in the locker room of the warehouse. The other two men are looking for him, they run into him while he is simply watching the pitfall, who is guarding the body of a man he has killed. The men manage to run away from him and lock the locker room door. Later, while the two first men talk among themselves, the drug addict goes to get his fix again--and inadvertently lets the dog loose. Later on police arrive at the warehouse to search it with a German Shepard. The criminals are hiding but the pit bull is loose-- and I couldn't bear to see what happens next, because I imagine the German Shepard and policeman are going to be killed next, and I did want to watch that so I turned the tv set off. I was pretty much the same way with the movie, The Revenant, where Leonardo Di Caprio is attacked by a huge bear in a snowy forrest.

What about you? Same, or you don't care--it's only a movie?
