+1 yIf going by species, probably Tyrannosaurus rex, but it's because of the skull shape (not it's popularity) which is best represented by BHI "Stan" despite his loose teeth.
If going by individual fossil specimens, then the fighting dinosaurs in the AMNH in New York city, which has a Velociraptor mongoliensis flash fossilized mid combat with a Protoceratops andrewsi, kinda had to top that honestly.
Yi qi is also pretty interesting, since it's basically a tiny dragon, as is Yutyrannus huali because you don't usually see theropods that large covered in fluff, and Spinosaurus aegypticus is neat because it basically evolved from a bipedal theropod into a crocodile with a sail just because it liked eating fish.
Another neat one is Deinocheirus mirificus, it's like if a sloth, a bird, a hadrosaur, and a camel were fused together.10 Reply

+1 yUm... I should inform you that Triceratops isn’t real, it’s just a younger Torosaurus. Like how they put a Camarasaurus skull on an Apatosaurus’ body and called it Brontosaurus. But anyways, my favorite dinosaur is Concavenator.

www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-17192624 not only is Triceratops as a name still valid for being older, but the findings of young Torosaurus and old Triceratops suggest they are indeed separate species.
There is also that Triceratops is unusual in not having holes in the crest at any point in it's growth stage. Most other ceratopsians have those holes from birth and retain them as adults. I am uncertain though if this is because all ceratopsians had no frill holes, but most species had such thin bone on their frills that preserving the part that filled those holes was impossible, or maybe in most species it's covered in cartilage there, and in triceratops it develops ossified into bone from birth instead, so in Triceratops it gets preserved in the fossil.
+1 yI love them all. As a kid I had this massive diorama my dad bought me with like a hundred different dinosaurs all running around and I put it together all myself. And one time when I was like 7 I let an ankylosaurus get loose in my Victorian dollhouse and that was the first time I ever experimented with crossovers 😊.
Is it true that crocodilians are dinosaurs too?54 Reply- +1 y
I love this story. I never knew my dad, but as a little girl I used to dream of having these kinds of experiences. My dream dad would definitely give dinosaurs

@Prettysammie getting that diorama was one of the most wonderful things that happened to me as a kid. I’m sure your dream dad would love you like crazy.

Diplodocus followed by Brachiosaurus. I love the super long necks but also what impressed me most as a boy when I went to a dino museum was seeing a super long Diplodocus spine towering over me. They didn't have the full skeleton but just the spine yet it was enormous.
11 ReplyI've always thought stegosaurus was a bad ass. So that one. The T-Rex is like the dumb jock of the dinosaur kingdom, and the velociraptor is like that one short cocky guy who acts tough but can't back it up (real velociraptors were literally just reptilian chickens, not like the giant Jurassic Park kind they later retconned into being "mutated" versions of the "real" ones).

+1 yTriceratops strikes me as the kind of dinosaur that just chills out and doesn’t bother anyone. But when T-Rex comes to mess with Tri’s friends and family, Triceratops is ready to kick T-Rex’s butt. I want friends like Triceratops

there's plenty of herbivores so triceratops, stegosaurus, brachiosaurus or the ankylosaurus from the poll would do
