Do you like the Friends series?

goy (gɔɪ)
n., pl. goy•im (ˈgɔɪ ɪm)
goys.
usage: This term is usually used with disparaging intent, implying a mild contempt for the attitudes, traits, and customs of non-Jews. Although it may be used in a neutral, even positive way to refer to a Christian, it almost always connotes a degree of condescension. Usually the context, such as the use of a qualifying adjective, will show the intent of the speaker.
—n. Usually Disparaging.
(a term used to refer to a gentile or non-Jewish person.)

Christina Pickles (English, born in England) as “Judy Geller” (Jewish)
James Michael Tyler (English) as “Gunther” (Dutch)

Paul Rudd (Jewish, descended from England) as “Mike Hannigan” (Irish)
Created by David Crane (English) and Marta Kauffman (Jewish, descended from Germany)
It seemed pretty good at first, but then I realized that those characters were horrible people on almost every level. Ross was an annoying creep, Monica was a bipolar nutjob, Chandler was a walking contradiction, Joey was a stereotype billboard, Rachel was a princess dream getting everything and continually screwing it up yet still succeeding.. it's just so easy! Pheobe is walking contradiction of bad stereotypes.
All of the characters are scripted in a way to make them endearing, but look at how they treat people in that show.. I mean look deep at the story lines and how their characters interact. They are just shitty people who don't teach viewers much past self-centered natures and that making bad decisions is fine, it always works out great in the end.
Love it. I have really good memories of being a child when Friends was on the TV. I lost my uncle at a very young age and TV shows like Friends, Looney Tunes on Cartoon Network, Charmed etc mean a lot because they bring me back to a time when I was very happy.
I tried to watch it, but I wasn't able to continue it for 2 reasons, the first is that I don't have a lot of time and the second reason is that I don't find it funny, personally I found it pretty dumb and also boring because it doesn't make me laugh.

Yes I do. It's funny and interesting. I watched it a lot as a teen. I have the entire series, and watch 2 or 3 episodes every now and then. I wish there were shows as good as that now. How I met your mother was the best competition, but even that one is old now.
I used to like it, not anymore. I don't find the jokes funny, i laughed because the audience did. Joey is italian-american stereotype, Ross the pathetic nerd, Monica the control freak, Rachel the hot one, Phoebe the hip weird friend and Chandler for the sarcasm! All stereotype. They had hilarious moments of course, but not that many. Sorry this is no what you expected
No. I watched the end because it was on before the Simpsons. An incredible show.
I remember the sound of the clouds parting.
Phoebe was the comic relief to the comedy show. ...
and the interesting one...
And the only tolerable character.
I am whatever on friends and am more in the That 70's show style crowd. Friends had the cookie cutter hot chick without a career, the smart dude that could not hold a relationship together, the hot sister, the dumb guy/girl, and the fake it till you make it guy etc. I put it on the level of How I met your mother where the fact they played character was obvious. The reason I liked that 70's show so much is cause they were young people basically being themselves with differint names.
Me personally I'm actually not really into TV that much lol I could never get into watching TV series. Well I say that, it's weird. I watched anime on TV and I got hooked on anime but I usually don't watch anime on TV anymore because it's cheaper not paying the extra subscription costs. Anyways that's besides the point. I've seen a few episodes so I can't really give a definitive answer.
Everyone says it's awesome. So, I feel discuraged to see it.
Yeah, Im one of 'those' types.
Always had trouble watching comedy anyway. I just never feel compelled to keep watching, usually get bored and lose focus as my mind wanders.
I've never seen 'friends' but I have a feeling I am not going to escape it either.
From being a non American this show felt awesome other than some racist episodes and making fun of other people the show was quite funny.
But it got boring then funny again well it's nice it has run for 11years so it would get boring in between.
I think it's one of the lamest, corniest pieces of dog sh*t ever put on television. I can't think of any show cornier than FRIENDS, and that includes crap from the 60s like Leave It To Beaver and The Andy Griffith Show.
Big Bang Theory is basically the same show but with unlikeable characters.
not a huge fan, its not a bad show just not really my taste, but here this gif
is for you!
I've got to be honest, I've never watched a single episode in my life. I've heard it's alright from friends, but others tell me it's wonderful! I might have to try an episode. How many seasons did it run for again?
wtf, Op asked if you like Friends, not if you watched it.
Did no one read the question properly?
I loved the show. Its a 9.5/10 for me. The jokes are original and even after you watch them a hundred times, you will still find it funny. I am not the kind that can laugh at the same joke twice but there is something about the jokes this show that make me laugh even though I remember them word to word. I cut 0.5 rating for the excessive laugh track in the background
I heard of the show but never saw one episode, in not really into sitcoms and your probably saying then why respond to it dummy,
I've seen it, but it's like they're trying too hard to be funny. And there's an annoying laugh track as well.
I watched like 2 seasons then got bored, mostly cuz many people around me were so obsessed with that show in an unhealthy way. They simply just spoiled it for me lol. It's a good show.
Sure. It's pretty good. It was kind of sad when a ex-girl friend of mine quoted something from the show to me, as if it were some sort of profundity. Pop-culture as a philosophical guide for life is generally a bad idea.
Nothing ever is more better than TVD and To
even all those shitty old shows
Don't like Answer Fuck off
Yeah.. I watched all the episodes more than 3 times at least :D.. something I can almost always enjoy an episode or two of <3
Sorry to be a miserable Brit, but American shite. :) British humour is better.
Sorry to downvote you but Britain has shite shows too.
It's an elitist myth that British humour is funnier than American humour. We even laugh at the same shows.
Cool, I undownvoted you.
Yes! I laugh at literally every single episodes ❤️😂😆 it’s on replay for me.
Do I like it? I never saw ANY episodes of it. I think I've seen less than an entire minute of that show during the time it was on TV. Never cared to watch any re-runs or watch it any other way. I just don't have any interest in it.
How do you watch the show? Do you have the DVD/Bluray collection or a subscription something? I've never watched the whole series through but I always enjoy it when it's on so I'm thinking of buying it and watching it all the way through.
It was huge at the time..
But , I always found it wishy washy bllshit humour to be honest , no entertainment there for me unfortunately , bunch of OVERPAID Wankers... who thought there self importance was critical , especially that Jennifer A..
I didn't watch tv in the 90s , I've only seen a few episodes re runs.
I love it. These days it'd be killed before season 2 because it would melt too many snowflakes, but that's probably why I love it!
I haven't seen it qwq
not rlly my thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I never went out of my way to put it on, but if someone was watching it, I never shut it off on them.
Never watched it but seeing all those fans all over the world means the show is worth watching and maybe I will in the future
I sure do, I used to watch it all the time... and I still watch it today, sometimes
Friends is also one way I had to learn most of the English I know... lmao
I don't think I ever watched a complete episode. I have seen a few minutes of a few episodes when someone else was watching it and I was in the room with them.
Yeah it's nice, but original? I don't know. It's a trope that's probably the most played out in it's genre.
It's good and funny, but i think when How I Met Your Mother came along it was better in every field.
I looooove it❤️. It's one of my favourite series ever, comedy at its best!
I loved it and have watched it at least 4 or 5 times i guess n never got bored
I just started watching it. I am in season 5 and I am really enjoying it
Just wait til u get to season 10. My uncle was an extra in the Thanksgiving episode! You are in for a treat.
@supercutebutt I can’t wait
I just remembered that Matt clearly had a crush on Courteney
I never really watched much of it. Not that I didn't like it I just never watched it.
Yes. I've watched it like 2x now and sometimes I use it as a background noise while working. Feels like even if I am not focused on watching it, I still know what is happening lol.
I watched it all first time around. and enjoyed most of them. I couldn't sit through them again though.
I think it was one of my favorite TV shows to watch when I was growing up. I sometimes watch certain episodes that I remember and still laugh at it. Even my niece likes watching it on Hulu and she weren't even born yet when it was still on.
i love it use to be my fave show and it was very funny. i watch it to get my mind off of things at end of day and i feel that it was a good show.
Yes, Rachel is my favourite and Ross has the same birthday as me 😛🤙
Yeah but the more I grow up.. The more they seem toxic and horrible people to me.. So I now have mixed feelings.. Also watching sitcoms with forced laughs every few seconds is kinda cringe for 2021 me
love it , mostly because chandler , he is sarcasm god
I saw a few episodes. Couldnt stand it. I thought it was stupid.
Not really I preferred Living Single series which created the start of friends.
No, believe it or not I grow up during this series and I never had any interest in watching it.
I avoid anything that has a laugh track in the background like the plague
I've seen it a few times while my cous was watching. Seems funnny and good :D
I've watched some of it & it's pretty hit or miss for me so far. Sometimes it's really funny sometimes it's just not.
Yeah I watched it when it first aired in the 90s, still see some reruns at the moment.
I watched a few episodes. I didn't really feel it and I think it is because the picture quality wasn't so good. I mean the one I downloaded.
I seem to recall hearing about it but never watched it. Have you ever heard of "Soap" or "The Blackadder" or "Black's Books:"? Those are hilarious!!!
No because they copied from the show living single so do I love living single absolutely
You gave me something to watch thanks
No problem 💙
Never liked it. Boring af, and almost never funny. My sister-in-law used to like it, for reasons unknown to me. Not quite as horrible as Everybody Loves Raymond though.
Yes, except for Ross, too whiney... Played the whiney one in BoB too
Allegedly David Schwimmer is a jerk in RL too.
I looooove friends!! 🤩🤩 and i can somehow always relate to one of them ❤ friends is the one tv show i can watch a houndred times
iTS AWFUL! NOT EVEN FUNNY. the definition of over rated
The 'comedy' show, it's one of the worst shows ever written.
To be honest I never used to watch it. However I knew who the characters were my girl liked the show.
Yes I love it i own all series I've watch episodes so many times and still laugh even though I know the joke
Nope never watched an episode. never held any interest for me, humour as subtle as a sledge hammer in the face.
