Movies at home OR at the theater?

which one do you usually go for/enjoy better?

I used to work at a cinema. That's why i prefer to be at home. Cinema's are a breeding ground for all kinds of filth and bacteria. Those seats are never sterilized, the floor gets the bare minimum attention, people cough and sneeze, leave snot rags in and around the seats. You also add to it the fact that the sound is never ideal per person, the potential mass shooter, and covid to the list. Plus you can't snuggle with your woman and it's hella expensive now. So that all adds up. I'll stay home ty.

I prefer watching movies at home!

You can rewatch it as many times as you want, and it's much cheaper than going to the movies.
Want snacks? Okay, got my popcorn, along with a frig and pantry full of food that's WAY cheaper than movie theater snacks.

Plus I don't have to deal with people at the theaters talking through the movie or bothering me while I'm trying to watch it.

I love going to the movies. It's romantic. Voyeuristic. Exciting. You are sitting in the dark with a bunch of strangers, all experiencing something brand new. All having the same emotions at the same time. I hope I never lose that wonder. I still get it every time I go to the movies. You can feel the excitement in the air as the lights go down. Don't let that go man.

I have always enjoyed going to the movie theater. Since I was a kid. I will always like going to the movies. But I have to admit, it’s way more cost effective and easy to watch at home. I have a big screen and surround sound. It’s pretty comfortable. And I don’t have to pay $79 for popcorn and a drink.

We used to go to the theater maybe once or twice a year. I have a nice home theater setup. It even has stadium seating. You can make good snacks, pause the movie for a bathroom break and watch it again if you want. You do not have to deal with other people with their cell phones.

These days home, used to go to the cinema that last time was in the summer of 92.
The cinema is no longer the cheap night out it used to be, my small town had 3 cinema's, now there is only one multi screen and that is outside of town so now on top of the cinema there's taxi or public transport to add in if you don't drive.

For me both are acceptable, I'm single always have been so same level of enjoyment the only difference is going to a theatre used to cost me as a single guy more than a couple on a date because I always had to buy 1-2 seats extra on both sides of me so I wouldn't be seated next to people like leaners, talkers, loud chewers, fidgety people. I've even bought a whole row before. Covid has made it so I don't have to buy extra seats, I just get them.

Going to a theater is a bother. Honestly, with 4K HD and a good sound system, my living room is a lot more comfortable. Snacks and beer or soda are only steps away, and I can lay down on the couch while I watch the movie.

At home for sure. I just love having a blanket on and snuggling with my dog on the couch while the fireplace is going. And I can take in as many snacks as I want and go to the bathroom whenever 😉.

Theaters are nasty. Obnoxious ads and previews. If I go to a theater for a movie I never arrive until 15 minutes after the advertised start time. I only go if I have a reserved seat.
