This sampling was actually more diverse than I expected, it looks like Hip Hop is the most prevalent with 3 showings. A couple genres that are definitely in my music but didn't come up:
1. Foreign music of all types. I love the sound of other languages, and have many different artists from French or Norwegian rappers, what I call Egyptian Skank (pronounced Skahn-Keh, from the Brazilian Skank, which is somewhat of a Swing/reggae). K-pop, Arabic call to temple music (the Q'aran in song), Spainish hip hop, pop, and flamenco, Mari Boine, Royksopp, and various viking metal bands like Korpiklaani or Amon Amarth.2. Classical music. I'm terrible at knowing the different composers, but I know what I like when it comes on. I love many of the classical great composers of yore, but one of my favorite pieces is more modern:

4. There's a lot of EDM I'm into, in many different sub-genres inclusive of dubstep, house, trance, glitchhop, chillstep, and gabber. Here's a video of a gabber group, "Angerfist":5. Country/Western - and in my opinion there isa big difference between western and country. I love the old western singers but some of the new country is way too "pop country" for me to listen to regularly (though I still enjoy it in the right context).
In conclusion, there's even more I didn't mention, but suffice to say, I really do love and appreciate almost all music. I think of music similarly to the way I think of food (which I love, as former professional chef), that the more you "taste" (listen to), the broader your palate becomes and the more you can enjoy nuances and the beauty of a wider range of even more music. For example, I know the Angerfist song above a lot of people will hear that (or not even bother clicking on it) and think "this is just garbage, a bunch of noise, that's not real music." or they hate country music because it makes them think of racist rednecks.

I like a lot of 60s folk and especially electric folk, psychedelia, and every kind of hard rock. I like many other genres, too.
My favorite is rock, especially prog rock from the decade beginning in the later 1960s. Some of that stuff was so original, inventive and well crafted. It kicked off entire new genres. And it had balls. A few bands I'll name for example are Jimi Hendrix, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, ELP, Jethro Tull, Uriah Heep, Captain Beyond, Yes.
If I asked my Alexa to play music in any of those genres I would end up skipping past most of them. I have more sub-genre tastes, artists such as Massive Attack, The Prodigy, London Elektricity, etc. who tend to feature on my playlists. A bit of electronica, some lounge, a bit of drum & bass, even a little bit of metal.
I like a lot of different genres, I have alternated between so many of them when growing up. I think my all time favorite always goes back to classic rock, classic country, or blues/jazz (and a mix of all I listed) because so grew up listening to it. I also like metal 😛

If I consider my last. fm profile, where I have tracked my more active listening for almost 15 years, then it is rock, the more poppy/melodic type, actually Oasis is the top artist xD.. but the last years/more recently it is pop that is top charting.
I voted classical music but I like basically all of them - it’s just classical music is always good to me while things like rap or rock are sometimes good and sometimes bad.
All subgenres of heavy metal, all subgenres of rock, punk, alternative/experimental rap/hip-hop, experimental electronic stuff, jazz, blues, psychedelic, oldies.
I like rock and roll but also listen to folk music. Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and this guy is my favorite

With age my taste for music changed. When I was in my teens it was all about Techno and Trance. When I was in collage I was all about Rap ( Fat Joe, 50 Cent 2 Pac etc..) and Rock (80's and 90's). I'm 34 now and I'm all about Movie Soundtracks and Electro Swing. But, If I had to pick one Music Genre for the rest of my life, it would be Classic, hands down.
It really depends on my mood, and there are several genres I listen to. I probably listen to pop more than any other, and especially enjoy songs from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. But you can also hear me listening to hard rock, classical and movie music... John Williams is a genius.
Soundtracks, Rock (English/Russian), Rap (English/Russian/German/French).
As a child, I listened to rock & classical music. As a teenager (ages 13-15) I listened mostly to rap and from ages 16-17 a mix of rock & rap. From ages ~ 17-20 I listened mostly to soundtracks. Now, at age 21, I've been listening to a more balanced mix of genres: rock, occasionally soundtracks, sometimes pop, sometimes rap, on rare occasions classical music, and I've started getting into Russian Imperial Waltzes.Metal, hard rock, progressive rock, jazz fusion, funk, blues.
Sheesh, you're rather boring if that's your music taste!
You need some Trance and Frenchcore in your life. But you're probably the cheese and crackers type, so fit the tropePop although I do like some songs from movie soundtracks.
Old school/90s hip hop. I don't listen to anything else. 2pac, Nas, Notorious B. I. G. and Big L over anything else.
Pop and rock are my faves... but I like rnb too. I’m pretty open to most music except for heavy metal and rave music
i like music and i enjoy my friends music for myself i'm attracted to and really connect with folk and bluegrass :)
Usually rock, alternative and rap, but I love all kinds of music and it depends on my mood.
Salsa Dura - Hard Salsa
https://www.youtube.com/embed/N4_jhVJ_MJoMy fav genre is actually not on the list. It's RnB.
Depending on my mood I like mostly everything with exception of Rap and Jazz / Blues
My favourite band is Linkin Park. In overall I really like rock from early 2000s, like Green Day, Evansescense, Three Days Grace, Skillet, Sum 41 or Breaking Benjamin.
I love classical music. I have it on almost all the time
Movie score tracks are the only type of music I listen to.
