Thoughts on the New EV DeLorean Concept being revealed?

DeLorean Motor Company has officially revealed its upcoming DeLorean EV, an all-new take on the classic 1980's stainless steel-clad, gullwing-doored sports car that was made famous by the Back to the Future film trilogy and first teased back in February.. The new all-electric DMC revives the "Medusa" sedan concept that the original DeLorean Motor Company had started development on prior to the automaker going bankrupt in 1982. Though the Medusa, officially known internally as the DMC-24, was to have four independent gullwing doors, the DeLorean EV will instead feature two large electronically powered gullwing doors that each expose the first and second row of seating. Here's everything we know about the car so far.

The DeLorean EV is targeting a 100kWh battery pack that should provide north of 300 miles of range and power a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup. It will accelerate from 0-60mph in 2.99 seconds, and 0-88mph (you know why!) in 4.35 seconds. The top speed is projected to be 155mph.

Pricing is expected to be in the $175,000 range, with production expected to begin at DMC's new San Antonio, TX facility in the next couple of years. Note that these specs are listed for the "Base Performance Model" of the Alpha5, which is seemingly the model name of this new DeLorean.

at 175K I bet they will sell tons. They may outsell the Ford F-150. I think since people are so convinced that electric cars will stop climate change everyone will be happy tp take on a second mortgage on John Kerry's say so,

Cool but I'm more interested in lower prices. I've been eyeing an Aptera for some time, in fact, though I think they are technically classed as motorcycles.

Dmc looks like a tesla but hey soon they might make a flying car. This version is a nice one too.
