People just like it better when pretty girls (and dudes) star in shows. Probably because we care more the character/story if they're cute then if they were average and we just like looking at pretty people better in general i think? also some people just want to simp too

I think people overthink this one. It's because thats what the show's creator wanted.

It's not always about ratings or alterior motives, beauty has its own value all by itself.

Cause looks sale and are usually the initial atraction. Personality is what keeps you. A lot of the men and women on Greys anatomy had pretty faces but horrible attitudes. Thats not a keeper just an initial attraction to the show
