2.7K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. I generally do not listen to podcasts.
I have nothing against them, but, for me, I need "appointment viewing"...
When I grew up, TV or radio shows were scheduled and, if you want to watch or listen to them, you needed to plan your day around it, so the show you wanted to watch or listen to was, in a sense, an appointment that you had to schedule for yourself.
Originally, I loved the idea of being able to watch/listen to whatever I want when I want. And, indeed, with YouTube, I generally do that. But, for anything else, I have so much to do that it is difficult to block out time to listen to a podcast or watch/stream a TV show that is available whenever. The only exceptions I make are for live sports because, like TV of old, they are scheduled, so, if I want to watch/listen to them live, I need to tune in when it's on and I have no control of when that is.
OK, as for any specific podcasts, I sometimes listen to "Hearts of Space" (hos. com) or "The Hidden Brain" (https://hiddenbrain. org/).
I must admit, my media consumption right now and has been for most of the past 2 years:
1. Reading journals or newspapers online.
2. Watching YouTube videos including listening to songs. (I have YouTube Premium which includes YouTube music and no ads.)
3. Listening to SiriusXM, primarily baseball radio feeds when it is baseball season.00 Reply

+1 yInformational mostly, usually interviewish:
Joe Rogan Experience
Smartless with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett & Sean Hayes
Real Ones with Jon Bernthal
Hot Boxin’ with Mike Tyson
Flagrant with Andrew Schulz
Wild Ride with Steve-O
I also watch “Hot Ones”, which isn’t really a podcast, but it’s pretty similar to some of the podcasts i prefer. I think anyone who likes interview style podcasts will like that show. The premise is extremely unique and they bring on some stellar celebrities. Plus the host, Sean Evans, may be the best interviewer in human history. I highly recommend!00 Reply

+1 yThere is really rarely a podcast that I like, I do listen to one frequently and that's Kalyn's Coffe Talk podcast, she talks about various topics, mostly self care stuff I would say.
And besides of her I do sometimes listen to true crime podcast, that being Behind you and true crime with Kendall rae.
But I do prefer the youtube videos of them more00 Reply

+1 yI watch rabbinical podcasts and I used to watch podcasts on meditation or practical things such as how to make coffee. I would also be interested in a pop psychology podcast by a known PhD graduate. I think poetry would also be cool. Have been too busy to explore these things in the last few years but maybe in the future I will have time.

I realize that the one I have shared the least is probably the one that will benefit people the most.
This page keeps getting updated with new episodes.
But I only listened to one episode because when I was exploring this whole thing in 2017, he wasn't making podcasts at that time.
00 ReplyTifo Football, mainly because the host, Joe Devine, is hilarious, MTG Fast Finance, because I'm nostalgic for Magic, and the hosts are super smart, and The Dispatch, because the hosts have good banter, The Rest is History, because the hosts have even better banter, and The Rachman Review, because the guests are always really smart. Ukraine: The Latest is good too, if the war interests you.
00 ReplyVery rarely when I do it's from Yle. They do a huge variety of broadcasts but I'm mostly interested in science, history and philosophy related ones. They're in Finnish though.

British invasion, anti war protest songs, and other stuff you can't hear anyplace else. I record it on my laptop and make an MP3 file out of it and listen to it at the gym.

I hate to tell you this, but the best apps for language learning are the ones you have to pay for. You can learn it for free, but it will be slow, and you might lose your morale after two months. Duolingo is fun, but it is very inefficient.
