Why are they making "The Last Of Us" into a TV show?

I thought the game was overrated. And this show looks like it is just going to be a walking dead clone, and we do not need another walking dead show.

The first game was much loved and sold very well. I imagine they want to coin something more out of that good will.

Unfortunately, they made the second game, were antagonistic, and messed it all up so it'll be interesting.

I liked the original… I wasn’t a fan of the sequel. We’ll see but you’re right- looks like another Walking Dead.
