"Victory? Victory you say? Master Obi-Wan, not victory. The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun the Clone War has."
While this line is cool... it's somewhat nonsensical to me. Why wasn't it a victory?
To me, the dialogue seems to lend to the idea that the shroud of the dark side falling is why there was no victory that day. But wasn't the shroud of the dark side falling going to happen regardless of whether or not that business on Geonosis happened anyways? So then why hesitate calling that day a victory? It's not like winning the battle that day caused the clone war to begin.
To me, the dialogue only makes sense if winning that skirmish on Geonosis caused the Clone War.
