Usually, the remakes kind of suck, but god damn, the new Million Knives is just smashing it so much better than the old Million Knives character.
Whenever you hear his epic theme song come on you just feel the hype.

What is that all about?
It is anime about three characters with three different philosophies. Vash, the guy in the Red coat, is optimistic. His philosophy is the least logical out of the three. Still, his philosophy always manages to succeed, while the other two are not as successful, despite their philosophy being more rational.
Legato is a human he works under Million Knives. Million Knives is Vashes brother. Legato has a Nihilistic philosophy and despite his love for his boss Million Knives he does not agree with Million Knives Pessimistic.
Knives and Legato try to break Vash and his optimistic philosophy. They both do not under why he won't break despite him being outnumbered, alone and lacking power and strength. But it is because he takes high risk chances and is willing to put himself out there even knowing he might fail utterly he does not give up trying because he knows if he is successful he will be rewarded massively. Where as Knives and Letagos only take low-risk chances and they never reach the desired reward.
It is like saying people are emotional, not logical that is why he is successful in the end. That is with giving you any spoilers of course there is more than that. I just don't want to go into specifics.
Thank you very much.
It is not because his lack of emotion that makes he him strong it is that he goes forward despite his fears.
For example a guy who just says "Well I am probably going to lose, but I'll just do my best and see what happens" you don't really have much respect for that guy. Whereas Vash is the guys is like "I prepared the best I can. I know my win conditions. I know what to do I go for it and going to win" despite the fear of failure he keeps going for it.
It is like when you know you don't succeed everything did won't matter. And sometimes you can't recover from that failure. You start to question yourself "am I even doing the right thing?" or "Or should I be doing this" it's that fear of ending up in that dark place.
But he always goes into every situation with the mindset of he can do it. It is not a lack of emotion he is feeling like the other guys, it is he is going forward even though they are laughing in his and making him look like a moron. Making him look like a fool for even trying. It is about courage and dealing with the fear of failure.
And you can see people in the show respect him for having the courage and being willing to go forward despite that fear. In real life, those are the people you respect the most too. And those people are willing to help in anyway they can. While the other two are smarter and strong, but they don't have what he has. His emotional side.
It is what gives what he does meaning. It is why he is complex as a person. They have no emotional core, so their motives are simple and lack any meaning.
