Both of those things are hard to get ammo for unless you reload it yourself or have the C96 that has been converted to 9mm. If somebody was going to give me one for free I would take it, but I would not buy either one

Webley all the way. While Americans were winning the west with the Colt peacemaker the British empire was winning in africa, india, Afghanistan, china etc with the top break double action webley

Granted the the Webley revolver wasn't standard issue until 1887 but the Webley Pryce was being sold privately to officers in the 1870s with the Webley RIC& Bulldog. The Adams revolver was around then too. As a side arm from right up to the 50s you couldn't go wrong with a Webley.

I've got one at home but the ammunition is hard to get. Id happily use it for home defence if it was new out of the box.

Colt won the west, Webley won the rest. My husband keeps a lot military surplus rifles and hand guns. He has a Webley but can't get the ammunition for it, he says he'd consider it as a truck gun or for the wilderness if he could get the ammunition at a reasonable price.

A pump action 12 gauge would be better. At least that way I stand a chance of hitting something.
