North won the war, history always sees the winner as the good guys.
Movies dont say so.
According civil war movies, southerners are the good guys, northerners are the bad guys.
''Southeners''... you mean Mexicans? 😁
No. I mean Southern USA.
In those days - I thought - the USA did not exist 🤔... so you mean ''Union'' vs. ''Confederates'', most likely.
Anyhow - those with culture were the (now) Southern ones, where the north consisted (and still does?) of rabble from all over the immigrating nations. Leaving aside the slavery question, though.
USA was founded in 1776.
Civil War took place between 1861 and 1865.
How quick time is passing :) ... Isn't it interesting how irrelevant such dates appear to us non-''Americans''?
And yet, we constantly are flooded with stuff from between the oceans. Heh heh.
I am not American either but I know this much about American history.
