If you were to write a book, what would it be about?

It would probably be a science fiction thriller, a murder mystery involving humans, robots and AI, set in the future on one of Earth's first space colonies.

It would be a trilogy about a man who is a prince. It would be about his ascension to power, his eventual corruption and descent into madness, tyranny, murder, and greed and his subsequent fall, imprisonment, and exile, but it would ultimately conclude with his redemption and return in time to save his kingdom from destruction.

I haven't decided on the setting yet though. One version would be in a far-off galaxy or distant part of our own with spaceships and combat walkers and stuff like that. The other version is on Earth somewhere between 500 and 1,000 years into the future after an apocalyptic war, alien invasion, or demonic takeover of the world. If it were the latter version, the Catholic Church would have a significant role.

Well, let's see, one of the ones I'm working on now is sort of a reference book dealing with break-in records. I have the largest collection of them in the world, now and thought it might be a good idea to write a book about them and list all the ones I've got. Back in the `90's, Jon Goodman asked me to help him write his book about all of his dad's break-ins and, after we did that, I decided to try to do the same for every break-in I could get my hands on. So far, I've got over 1200.
Another book is mostly a reference book and will be a huge list of all the 45's and 78's that I know of that were pressed at Monarch Record Mfg. in California.
The third one will be partly a life story and partly the history of the band I was in for 25 of its 40 years.
Another story I've been working on is the bizarre tale of a guy who just has lots of strange things happen to him. It's supposed to be a movie, rather than a book.

I already wrote one and can say with some certianty that there is no chance I will write another one. It's fun to write the fun parts but the parts between them are some of the most mind numbing work there is. And the thing is you can guarantee no one will read it if you don't make those parts fun, too. And even if you succeed entirely, there's still a good chance no one will read it, anyway..

If I were to ride a book. It would be about the stupidity of mankind. The name of the book would be call it "Mein dummer Kopf" it would be about all the stupid things I've seen in my life and the people I have worked with, the stupidity of our government.
