*****MY Published First Play *****Michael Marshall, the heir to a family fortune, is also a deeply disturbed man, who ends up committing gruesome, grudgeful murders. Acting on the wishes of his father's will, he marries a peasant named Julie, whom he beats and neglects. But after things escalate out of control in their lives in Boston, she escapes to New York City, where she ends up residing with the Broadway actress she has always loved and obsessed over, and with the actress's overbearing, wheelchair-bound companion. Later, the crazed Marshall turns up in New York to take revenge on Julie and all who are involved. It's then, that truths are revealed and "Julie's Web" becomes a tangled maze of secrets and obsession that unfolds.
I've already "co-written" 5 books. One was a reference book all about all the records (at least the 45's) released by Motown. Another was a record pricing guide, another was a 4 volume set called, "R&B Indies". It's the second edition. I helped out on the Buddah section because I collect Buddah records (and Apple and Zang Tuum Tumb) and added some info he didn't already have and there was also a record on Warwick that he didn't even know existed. He didn't know that record had an alternate flip side. I don't seem to recall the other one and then there's the book about Dickie Goodman. I have the biggest break-in collection in the world, now (a little over 1200) so, Dickie's son, Jon, told me he's writing a book about his dad and all the records he did (mostly break-ins, he and his partner, Bill Buchanan, invented break-ins back in the `50's) and said he was gonna put a list in the back of the book of all the records Dickie did (at least 80 break-in records and a dozen or so non-break-ins) and a list of every song used on each break-in so, I wrote that part of the book. It's almost the last 1/3 of the book. I also suggested to him that, instead of just starting from Dickie's birth and going up to his suicide, it'd be better if he started from the present (the mid `90's, or at least his death in `89) to give the reader a taste of what the book is about and get them interested and THEN start from his birth and go through his history.
And, although it's not a book, there was a website I found a month ago that lists all the artists that played at Woodstock and noticed that some of the info was wrong, from what I could tell so, I wrote to the guy that compiled the list and told him what I knew about the timings and he said he was gonna readjust his list and credit my name on the website, then he sent me a big poster he made also listing the same info and including a number of pictures. He only had 1000 of them printed. He said he wasn't gonna change the poster to rectify the info I sent and that's fine with me. Maybe, some time, in the future, he will.
And, I'm writing 3 books of my own. One, a reference book listing all the 45's pressed at Monarch Records, if I can ever find them all. So far, I've got almost 36,000 of them in my list and the lowest number I've been able to find is 7. (Each side they pressed had it's own "Delta:" number etched into it near the label.). Another reference book where I've made a list of ALL the break-ins I can get my hands on and all the records each one uses, and the third book is pretty much my life story. I've had a number of people tell me it'd make a great book or movie. And, when I was in college in the mid `80's, I started writing a movie. Everyone that's read what I've got so far says it;'s fantastic! I showed it to one girl who was very much into writing and she said she was just gonna give up writing because she could never write anything as good as this! Sadly, life's dumped a TON of shit on me in the past 30-some years and I've never had the chance to finish it! I think I sent it to Chris Miller, who, partly, inspired it and he said he liked it. Among dozens of other short stories, he wrote, "Animal House" based on his days in college in the early `60's. He also appears in the movie 3 or 4 times. His character was called, Hardbar but the only line he has in the movie is he started the coughing of the word, "Bullshit!" in the courtroom scene. Pinto IS Chris, that's the name he was given when he was a kid because he was on a beach, one day and got a splash from hot oil or tar on his dick and it left a few black spots on it.

Your book sounds interesting.
I've always wanted to write a book and I might do it in the future. Mine would probably be a biography or a collection of stories by people who went through difficulties and overcame them.

I write 4 books as part of a series. My main character Triton, a shy timid guy, is killed in a car crash, meets a spiritual guide named Mackenzie who sends him to earth to learn how to face his fears. When he returns, he meets 4 others learni how to face theirs. Together, they travel through time taking on the obstacles that people faced in history, like the civil rights movent, the disaster on the titanic, and there's even a section in the first book where the characters come across a Hollywood scandal in 1965, facing a cover up. I really hope I get the courage to publish one day, and get out of this poverty town I'm living in to publish it! I love my characters!
Congratulations!
I do in fact want to write a novel. A trilogy in fact (well, maybe). I still have a lot of stuff I need to figure out though.
It would be about a prince who is set to inherit a kingdom that has been at war. He eventually rises to power, but he becomes overzealous and descends into betrayal and murder. He ends up abandoning his closest friend and his betrothed to death. His kingdom gets overrun by the enemy and he gets overthrown, deposed, exiled, and imprisoned.
The remainder of the story would be about his redemption and return to take back his kingdom.
If given the chance, I would write a book about political philosophy and tracing intellectual history and pedigree of political ideas. Probably would not be a best seller, but it is urgently needed.
Americans - I should add that I work in politics - sling around political labels and ideas with no sense of their deeper historical meaning. The result is a politics that tends to be shallow and shrill and not terribly informed.
This, in turn, resulting in the high frustration level that the USA is seeing in its' politics right now. That then compounding the problem of Americans using a political vocabulary that has them talking past each other.
As I say, my book would not likely be a best seller, but the topic interests me. Oh, and such a book is urgently needed.
My first book was atrocious. The second one was fun though. Unfortunately I lost the manuscript and never published it though. (Kind of funny as I technically own a publishing house).
It was "The Story of Kong." Kong is a 5000 year old vampire who is a political assassin for the high council of the vampires. In our book he is hired to kill a god, not just any god, but the god of the vampires - because he threatens the councils power - of course. And of course this person isn't the 'real' god just an imposter.
But as a wearer of "hunt marks" he has devoted his life to this god, creating a morality crisis.
Ultimately its a study of church vs state, and secular vs devine. Faith and the crisis of faith. And a fun romp through the world, ethos and livelihoods of vampires in the digital age where everything is recorded and hiding is very difficult.
Probably an erotica lol I am really good at writing adult erotic movies for some reason so probably a girl is confused about sex and ask her pare for the talk and as soon as she is given the talk she sleeps with her male best friend and is caught but admits to her parents she likes the boy than just friends and ends dating him and sleeps with him every dayxafter school until she finds out she is pregnant and he proposes to her and they get married and live a happy life together but I would include all the sex scenes in the actual book
Have you ever gone to a grocery store and tried to drive out using the front road? I call them diagonal walkers. They make a 20 foot walk across the street in to a 100 foot walk and block all cars.
Women on Shark Tank. We are making plant based ice cream. I would make a poll but it's an opinion. Would you rather eat Plantce cream or ice cream? I personally would want ice cream for indulgence. To hell with plantce cream.
So the answer to the question is a book on nonsense with pictures.
I'd love to read or see your play, Paris!
I think I would write a book about a fictional boy (like me), growing up in same time and place as did I. It would basically be a biography.
That time and place in history should be memorialized. Some authors captured times and places beautifully. Some films have done it, too.
I would probably have to break it up into a series that covered different period of my life.I guess it would be educational..
A book about movies, movie trailers, how to shoot movies and edit them so you can you own world. How to compose you movie logos like Century Fox in specialized software. if i had to out all that effort in a book... people better learn from it. 😂🤣
Well, I've written a fanfiction the length of an actual book called Legend of the OmeletWings, It's about a tribe of dragons obsessed with eating their own eggs, and an OmeletWing named Embryo who believes there is more to life than just eggs sets out from her village to find out who she is. But can she truly escape the legacy of Egg Laying that was placed upon her, or will it all come back to her in the end, and will she ever see beyond it to what life is really meant to be?
I've written two so far:
My first was about Great Graphic Arts on Minimal Budgets. (This was way before computer generated art, etc. and the art had to be on a physical "paste-up" board.
My second was a handbook on Aromatherapy.
If I were to write any more, Massage Therapy or Homeschooling would be the likely subject areas.
I have this sci-fi one in my head that I been working on for years. It deals with the theory of Panspermia. And the evolution of the human race. The nearest comparison I can give to it would be like a more in depth the movie Prometheus.
When I became a monster. Being reborn, finding joy in newly found strength but also loneliness as the years go buy. The anxiety for survival, controlling feeding frenzies and unlocking new abilities as I grew stronger. Finding peace, finding friends, self acceptance. And most importantly, being accepted by people.
Social class racism.
Its nothing to do with ethniticy, nation, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or size. it's hard to explain but a racist politition once said:
Justice is not one of those things that anyone should have to pay anything for.
People can say whatever they want about anti-imigration politics, but that one sentence he said, makes more sense than all words of all polititions I have ever heard of in my life.I will be making hundreds if not thousands and they will be about Life. I’m in the middle of making the very first one and I’m proud of how it’s Turing out. Like when you come up with a hard roast on the whim that’s so good you have to self compliment right after.
It would be a sci-fi story about a married couple traveling to a distant inhabitable planet outside our solar system. The working title would be "Lust In Space" but I'm sure the publisher would change it to something else.
I would write about people in the legal community in my hometown when it was destroyed by the Great Fire of 1901.
That’s awesome that you wrote a play. Maybe it’ll get made into a movie someday. If I wrote a book it’d probably be a fantasy novel. Maybe a romantic fantasy novel like Mercedes Lackey.
I don't have the writing skills to write a book.
About men learning to upgrade physically to attract women. Learn the BLACKPILL. And to learn Female psychology.
