Like memoirs and autobiographies. Not that I'm saying they don't have a right to, but why do so many feel like they should? Because a lot of times they end up putting stuff in their books that stirs up drama with people they know/knew like family members, ex lovers, or even co-stars. I get that everyone has gone through problems, disagreements, bad relationships, etc. with someone, but is it entirely necessary to be 100% open about it?
Before Carrie Fisher died she wrote in her last book that she and Harrison Ford were sleeping together around the time of The Empire Strikes Back. And last night I came across a story about Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn Spears causing drama in her own book about some girl she used to act with on an old Nickelodion show and the poor relationship with her and Britney. Honestly, what is the fucking point, man? We all go through stuff in life and with people but to me it's not necessary to say everything you think or talk about everything you've gone through. Do they like airing all their dirty laundry?
I think there are so many people who love finding out about dirty laundry on celebrities, but there will always be these types of books. I don’t really buy into it, because I think most of our lives are significantly more challenging than any celebrity. I have some good autobiographies and so does my husband, but they are not an airing of dirty laundry by any stretch.
I absolutely agree. I do think the rest of our lives are way more challenging than celebrities. Telling us about your failed Hollywood marriages or relationships are really not that interesting. And just because some of them were poor growing up doesn't mean they're necessarily heroes now.
They try their luck in book market. Who knows they produce a bestseller. Most famous people who consider themselves very very important write books about themselves ( actually they hire a copywriter, give him/her details about the book and then the copywriter writes the rest, so they actually don't write it all by themselves ).
These days even tik-tokers are publishing their autobiographies. 😂😂😂
It's because they actually believe their sad and sorry lives are interesting, and quite often (especially when they're no longer famous), they just need the cash.
Look it up :) It's basically the phenomenon whereby very large numbers of people recall history a certain, specific way, which turns out upon proper examination to be wrong. Ex. certain events, like the death of someone famous, like Nelson Mandela. Many are 100% sure he died in prison during the 1980's, when he actually didn't.
Okay, I'll give you a hypothetical, fictional example. You wake up one morning in your bed, and see that things are just the way they were before you went to sleep. Everything is the same, but when you look out the window you see the sky is no longer blue, but yellow. You're shocked by this, so as soon as you can you find the first person you can to ask them about it. They give you a look of astonishment when you tell them how the sky used to be blue, but they insist it's always been yellow, and give you a look as though they're thinking you're nuts. You go into shops, news-agencies, the library even, to find out more, find out why this is happening, but no one you talk to, and all the evidence you can find, states that the sky is not only yellow now, but always has been. It's like that.
