Taylor Swift is coming to town. The seats on the resale sites are starting at $1000. Would you spend that kind of money to see her perform?
547 opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. I've been trying to see as many 70's and 80's artists as I can, as many have already lost members and are retiring. I just went to see Toto and Journey a couple of weeks ago. Even then, I only paid $60 per ticket.
I might see Taylor Swift at $20 per ticket, but I wouldn't pay $60 per ticket to see her, and $1000 per ticket is laughable. And it's not that I couldn't afford to - I could buy a couple of rows of tickets with the money in my account right now. I just think that would be a complete waste of my money.

+1 yNo, that’s too much unless you’re a crazy fan and have front row seats I can’t see paying that much for any concert no matter who is playing

Yeah I figured, that’s a lot to invest for a few hours at a concert
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yNope. I worked at one of her concerts a few years back and a lot of the songs she was lip syncing. I won't pay to see anyone who doesn't sing live and I also wouldn't pay that much because I know almost all of the concert all I would be hearing are people in the crowd singing horribly and I would hear the artist themselves

I saw the Beach Boys in 1990 . This was when there was that big lip sync thing with Vanilla Ice and others. I made it a point to walk up to the stage and see if they were just lip syncing the whole thing. They were definitely the real deal. This was Brian Wilson's last tour with the band. Dennis Wilson was already dead and John Stamis was on drums
+1 yNo! She would have to pay me $1,000 to see her. Not a fan!

+1 yIs she gonna fuck me several dozen times?
I stopped going to concerts when tickets were over $30.00!! When I first started going to concerts, tickets were about $6 to $12!!
I'd love to go see Paul McCartney before he drops dead but I'm not about to pay a few hundred dollars for the CHEAP SEATS!! I've seen Ringo 2 or 3 times and it never cost me more than about $12 and he's got several other famous acts with him! Paul's playing with his own band of people no one's ever heard of and he's charging astronomical prices!! He's a millionaire several times over, he's still making shitloads of cash on the 40 or 50 solo albums he's released, he doesn't NEED to charge that much for a concert!! Especially when he's mostly performing Beatles oldies!!33 Reply- +1 y
Yup. I've seen Ringo's All-Starr Band (with Edgar Winter and Steve Lukather) second row seats for under $100 (I think like $75 if I remember correctly) while Paul's nosebleed seats cost more.

@LiamJHayden The first time I saw Ringo it was held in a huge tent. John Entwhistle was on bass but I don't recall who else was on the stage, partly because he's the only one I met. I doubt the tickets were more than $12.00, if that!! The second time, it was at an outdoor concert hall and, again, I doubt the tickets were more than $20. It was the mid `90's. Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren, Tim B. Schmidt and a few others were also at that show. (Todd did "Bang On The Drum all Day" so, Joe dressed up like the Eveready battery bunny and played a big bass drum behind him.) Our seats were about 10 rows from the stage but, because you had to travel at least 45:00 out into the sticks to get to this place, not that many people showed up so, about 3 songs in, Ringo told everyone to come down front so, we sat right under his nose!! (Did you know that he's got a hamster living up there?)
At least you got to see these people actually perform!! What does Taylor do, stand on the stage and lip sync to a backing track while 20 other people jump around on the stage? I SERIOUSLY DOUBT that WHATEVER she does, it's NOT worth $1000!! Even if she came out and did the whole show naked!!

+1 yI haven't paid that much for any type of tickets. The most I'd pay is $100 for anything including sporting events, car shows and concerts. I haven't been to a concert since I saw ozzy Osborne in 1986

Yes I saw that. We were back pretty far so I couldn't exactly see what it was but I saw him do the motion of biting it

In the words of one of my uncles, "I wouldn't pay $1,000 to see a monkey f*** a football."
11 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. I wouldn't even go see my favorite artists if the seats were that much! Because for me, at that price, the benefit just doesn't outweigh the cost. So I'd rather support the artists in other ways.

+1 yHell no! I think some of these pop stars that think they're all that and a bag of potato chips need a reality check. (More like a stale bag of potato chips!)
Her music is all about guys! Even female grunge bands don't overdo it that much. I barely listen to mainstream music because it's garbage. Used to be good, but last few years, pure garbage.
I love all types of music, in every genre, but if the music doesn't have a decent amount of instruments and a good vocalist, I'm out!

+1 yAs much as I love Taylor Swift’s songs, I am not crazy enough to spend such an egregious amount of money to go to a concert. I would much rather pay that $1000 to go on a vacation somewhere nearby and beachy.

+1 yCan I throw melty Carmel Popcorn at her, like sitting on a chair maybe 2ft away from her, the whole concert? Will She and Beiber go at it in an all out, claws out fight? Or will she finally transform in the Parademon I always knew she was?
If I get 2 out of 3 of those wishes met I might pay the grand.
