Any writers out there that can please help give me examples of writing transitions of time smoothly?

So this is a specific thing I need help with let me explain first.

You know in movies you'll see a character for a course of days passing by, each day it shows briefly what they are doing in that day before it transitions into the next day where the character is doing something new or they are doing the same thing.

It's showing the passing of time. I want to write something like that but I don't know how to write it so it flows nicely and it doesn't feel choppy.

Should I put "The next day, the second day, the third day... Etc" I feel like that'll get boring after a while and I'll be repeating myself too much.

I plan to write a full week of brief things my character is doing as time is passing. Do you know how I can write this? Thank you so very much!

Establishing a routine or alike could do it.
For example if you made it clear that character X starts every day with a cup of coffee and only drinks one in the morning, never more or less, now you mentioning "coffee." will mean new day. Similarly things like sleep and wake obviously cover it, as does typical passage of time things.

I wouldn't normally put a lot of emphasis on this and so would likely just detail things all at once and then state a week passed by. If the point is to make it feel like a long time you can of course do the Monday/Tuesday or date thing. Probably a bit tiresome to read but not every paragraph needs to be exciting as long as it is leading somewhere.

It may take me a full week to accomplish this and I plan to keep notes on my progress through the week. The first day I had to deal with..., the next day, I HAD to get this section done or I couldn't do what I needed to do on Tuesday, which is..., then, Wednesday, I plan to... (that way you can skip right to Thursday or even Friday and say, "Yesterday I did this and now, today, I'm going to do this and then Saturday, I hope to be finished with it after I...".

Mark time with events rather than actual time or dates. So just say, "The day of wedding came.." rather than "2 weeks and 4 days past then there was a wedding."

You can name how long or how much during that day how much time passed between said interactions. Like "Later that evening x, y or z occured or said person met back up at that time of day." Or Finally the discussed time finally approached.

You don't have to describe every activity and routine. That's an amateur mistake.
