Don't lie. I know a whole lot of you believe anything you read.
I fact check but keep in mind I don't think half the people here know what that means, what's a credible source, or reads past headlines. I say this because most what people here consider "facts" is what they read on propaganda sites or social media.
For ex many people don't believe fact checking sites that source data or even share transcripts of what actually happened in a given situation. Facts to some people here and in the world today mean their own personal feelings and or a reporters opinion.
People hear a report that says language like this as fact (just an ex to make the point)
Politician x has been alleged of x. Alleged doesn't mean guilty but then people will say this is guilty and it is fact checked lol.
My point is many people think watching the news and hearing an opinion is fact checking. They also don't know what the word fact means. Then you have the dark web Q conspirators thinking that talking to a guy on the inside is fact checking lol.

Honest to goodness I never believe any single person’s opinion ( except Gods of course). I am very conservative and vote republican but I still like to hear democrats side of the story. “Fact checking” is not that easy, but you just need to hear the both sides and only then draw an opinion.
I don’t fact check unless I care enough to. The rest of the time I have already acknowledged that most information I read on the internet is incorrect or biased, so I basically take everything with a grain of salt
If it’s something that I’m interested in sharing, I definitely fact check. But if it’s something that I don’t really care about then I don’t fact check, since I won’t be passing information on.

I investigate the sources behind the headline for examples to the conclusion. I never judge a book by it's cover
I fact check. Probably why I don't watch or read the news. I could be looking into one simple thing for hours.
