A movie isn't a movie without a respectable villain. What kind is the best?

Classic. Evil with no redeming qualites.

Authoritarian. Tending to tell other people what to do in a peremptory or arrogant manner.

Intellectual. Chiefly guided by the intellect rather than by emotion or experience.

The Equal. They share the same skills, abilities, and knowledge, but differ in ethics and morals.

Twisted. Comedy and tragedy are equally up for grabs.

Out of the options you mentioned, the "evil intellectual" one is stupid nonsense, because its stupdity that creates evil, and intelligence that extinguishes it.

A well written villian is both dumb and sociopathic, lacking in both intellect and empathy, with no redeemable qualities.
