If you could join any (because your musical skills are up to snuff) band/musical group, what would it be? doesn't matter if they are dead, alive, broken up or still going strong for me -- Ramones

A guitarist for Aerosmith because they are one of the top paid bands and play good music.

In the 80s, I saw a guitarist with Dio. I don't know who it was. The guy had every shredding technique. He was as good as anybody on the guitar. But his showmanship was amazing. He did everything, like tossing his guitar to swing around his neck and catching it without missing a beat. There was a steeply slopped ramp at the back of the stage. He would run at it, then up, and do a backflip to land on his feet while shredding like a fiend. I'd like to be that good.

I saw a Hendrix impersonator named Randy Hanson who could play Hendrix guitar perfectly. And he could play with his teeth, play behind his back, and make all the classic Hendrix moves. But he could also do frontward and backward somersaults while playing perfectly. He was pretty incredible.

Pete Townsend was great in his hay day.

Steve Howe with Yes was amazing. I saw him with two guitars on stands that suspended them in air. He would be playing the guitar around his neck and then switch back and forth from it to the other guitars without missing a beat.

I also loved Mick Box with Uriah Heep. He was a great guitarist and showman back in the day.

Nazareth. Nothing Manny, Billy, or Jimmy played is remotely challenging, and only the few times that Zal got to solo would require any practice at all. I don't have the rasp of the late great Dan McCafferty, but I can hit all the notes.
