Have you ever seen a movie in theaters more than once?

I have this friend who has went to see Barbie 5 times since it's been out. She said it's life changing, but i think it's a tad obsessive.

I went to see Star Wars in the theater 9 times during its original theatrical release - it was in a local theater for almost 6 months, and in its final month, was still outselling many other movies. I saw Empire 4 or 5 times and ROTJ at least 3 times in their original releases.

Not sure if this counts, but I've seen modern re-releases of Alien, Jaws, and Close Encounters, which I saw in their original runs as well. Those viewings were 30+ years apart, though.

More recently I saw Top Gun: Maverick twice, and I definitely saw the first Iron Man twice. Oh, and John Wick 4 twice, because my dad had wanted to see it and I'd already gone, so we went again.

Yeah, quite a few. "Head", "Monty Python & The Holy Grail", "Pink Floyd At Pompeii", "Woodstock", and who knows how many others. One of the local theatres always ran a different older movie every night so, I got to see a lot of movies in a theatre a few times.

If she goes to see the Barbie movie 5 times and thinks that this movie is a revolutionary and life-changing art form, then that girl has serious problems.. Aside from that, it's crazy to watch a movie in the theatre more than once. I usually go to theaters to watch action movies. But if the script of the movie I'm going to watch is too deep, I'd rather watch it at home.

I’ve seen a few movies in theaters multiple times and it was with different people each time. They hadn’t seen it yet and wanted someone to go with. I did that with the Harry Potter movies, Marvel, and Star Wars in particular. TRON Legacy also comes to mind. The only movies that I would go out of my way to see in theaters a bunch of times by myself are the Lord of the Rings movies because I have a problem lol.

Back in the days, I use to do that but now with the technology nowadays, I only see it once in the movie theater. Unless someone that I know haven't seen the movie, I don't mind taking the person so I can watch it for a second time or more.

Yep. When I was in summer camp as a kid, they use to take us to the budget theater on rainy days often enough and there would repeats.

I saw the first Ant Man twice. I saw it once and then it was going to be shown again in 45 minutes so I went and sat in another theater and watched 45 minutes of Get Hard with Will Ferrell.

Yeah but not for a long time, probably when I was a kid, my brother saw the original Star Wars movie several times he was so into it, back in 1977 , I think it was only $1.50 during the day to see it back then

i saw the first Fast and Furious movie in the theater about 15 times. I went with different friends who couldn't all go at the same times, and with my brothers at other times. It never got old and was worth it every time I went.
