Why is Captain Marvel hated?

So Captain Marvel was released on March 8, 2019 and introduced the MCU’s first female protagonist Carol Danvers. Better known as Captain Marvel (not to be confused with DC Captain Marvel who’s now known as Shazam). However when it came out it was treated like it was the Star Wars: The Last Jedi of the MCU. Both movies were successful with critics and box office. However fans were divided. And fans hated it so much that Captain Marvel 2 is now being called the Marvel’s. What logical reason could you have not to like it

It was boring, uninspired, and directionless. Just another of the many products off the Marvel assembly line.

It had no reason to exist other than to have "a strong female character". There's a thousand other movies that did that better while simultaneously having a compelling plot.

I didn't like it because she was made too God mode. If there's never any risk of dying/attachment/etc then whats the point. The end of the movie she basically 1 v the entire fleet in under 15 seconds

Thor is a god and he’s one of the more respected MCU characters. Yes Love and Thunder wasn’t exactly stellar but even that didn’t cause people to become hostile and toxic

I didn't watch it, but I know a lot of people say they made her really bitchy. Which is one of the reasons why I didn't bother watching it.
